#2025yearinmusic is a wrap.

55 shows in 2023, 66 in 2024, and I really didn't think in January I'd meet that, let alone beat it at 80. Local music also played a big part (support your scene!) Big THANKS to @brightboxwinchester for making it possible - 25% of my shows were at the Box!

This year brought shows with new friends, old friends, all the kids, and of course, plenty of solo nights.

Can't wait to see what 2026 brings for me (I already have 8-10 shows planned) and for @myshowbuddy . To think, back in 2018, my New Year Resolution was to attend one show a month. 😉🎶

This idea has been with me for quite some time, and I'm finally breathing life into it. Today, I officially registered my business! Please take a moment to support my venture by liking my business page as I soft launch!

@myshowbuddy provides an escort - a show buddy - to help make your experience accessible, enjoyable, and make sure you never miss a show! Send your kid with a buddy and you stay home! Don't need a buddy, but want one-stop venue information? We got you covered.

#2024yearinmusic
66 shows, 165 acts and oddly enough, exactly half I went to solo. 104 artists I've never seen live - many I'd never even heard of until I heard them live! I was lucky enough to see my favorite bands this year and gained a few new faves. I traveled, but local venues kept me singing. I chased @officialjagerbonham across the country (WA, KY & NJ).
Thank you @xhellboundheart for being the best show buddy, down for whatever long ass drive I had in mind. Thanks @michaelrosedrums for being you; your time and generosity. Thanks @zacharychristopherr for getting me to my first @pod show...which led to my second.
And thank you to my local homies - @zactownsend_music @cursor_va @bradhardenmusic for keeping me going locally when I'm not on summer tour. 😂

The 2025 year in music starts next week.

LEAP @leap_the_band is a newish band on the rise from the UK. Been listening to a few of their songs for a while now. Their first US tour ended Oct 17 2026 at Metro Baltimore. I waited to get my ticket and it sold out, but was able to score a resale ticket day of show.

The live show did not disappoint and I was able to get a set list and meet the band post show! Such a delightful group of guys - all taking the time for short conversations not just a quick photo and move to the next.

@adam.mason_ I really hope you got to try blue crab before leaving Baltimore.

@hectorcottam drum face on point 👉 😂

Won a VIP package for two to Tuesday's @peachesnisker show at Soundstage (Thanks @sg_bmore !.) I'd only recently learned about her after hearing great things about her show in DC this summer.

I grabbed @andreyeahh_ and off to Baltimore we went for the teaches of Peaches. 🍑🍑

One of those nights where it's good to keep an open mind, expand your musical horizons, and connect with the positive vibes. What a great night! Peaches is...well a peach.

My first time seeing @ironmaiden
Missed @megadeth due to the traffic & parking debacle at Jiffy Lube Live.

Iron Maiden sounded great and the production was incredible.
