The things we do when we do not have a competition to prepare for. #highschoolmocktrial #flmocktrial #mocktrial by @boonemock

Another great year for Boone High School Mock Trial at the Sunshine State Showdown hosted by FSU! ⚖️

Despite numerous challenges, including team members getting sick and competing in masks, our team persevered and continued to give it their all. We’re proud to bring home two individual awards! 🏆

⭐️Outstanding Witness: Huong Ho
⭐️Outstanding Attorney: Alyssa Satmaria by @boonemock

This week, two of our Moot Court team members competed in the State Semi-Finals in front of the First District Court of Appeals. The teams had to start by submitting a 25 page written brief. This is what qualified them to move onto oral arguments. After oral arguments, one of our teams was chosen as the 6th DCA winners and moved onto the Semi-Finals in Tallahassee. We are so incredibly proud of the work these teams have put into this competition!
Semi-Finalists: Huong Ho and Carson Shields
Oral Argument Competitors: Alyssa Satmaria and Oliver Bittakis by @boonemock

The team had another great year competing at the state level! Although we did not place, we did win… the TikTok making competition. This group of students have worked incredibly hard for months in preparation and performed very well! A special shoutout to our only senior on the team, Oliver Bittakis. This was his final Mock Trial competition before attending UPenn in the fall, and he definitely ended it with a bang.

This weekend, our Mock Trial team competed at Florida State University! This year our witnesses and attorneys both had the challenge of having two witnesses. However, everyone was still able to perform very well with a first year member, Nicolle Trevizan, winning a Best Witness Award! Congratulations to everyone for all of the hard work they put in! 🎉 by @boonemock
