What’s up? let me reintroduce myself.

My name is Jamie Boone, but most people know me as Boon.

I’m a father, rapper, DJ, and producer and I still balance all of this with a day job.

Music has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, life got complicated, and music became the place I could disappear for a while. Headphones on, world off.

Years later, when I started college, I barely knew anybody. I was working full time, didn’t have much of a social life, and honestly didn’t know how to build one. So naturally, I decided the best solution was to start throwing parties. 😭

That’s where DJing really started for me.

I bought boards, mics, amps, and monitors from pawn shops and Craigslist. I threw parties around Lake-Sumter State College, recorded music in closets, DJ’d school events, and slowly started figuring out how to turn something I loved into something I could build with.

A lot of years, late nights, day jobs, gigs, mistakes, networking, learning, and just refusing to stop … Later I found myself standing on a stage like this.

I’m not posting this like I’ve made it. If anything, moments like this remind me how much further I still want to go.

But I do want to take a second to appreciate the journey and everybody who has been somewhere along the way.

The people who came to the early parties.
The people who listened to the first songs.
The people who shared a post, showed up to a gig, gave me a shot, or simply kept following.

I see it. I appreciate it.

And if you’re new here, welcome.

I’m Boon
