Got this Thursday, June 9th, 2022. The story - pulled from a '99 GT-R Vspec in Wisconsin around 15 years ago that was stripped down to its bare shell and was chopped up into 3 sections & then crushed. The full drivetrain is in a red R32 GT-R (painted Audi R8 white), and what I have here was stashed away up in the West Coast - Corner Brook.... until now. All I did so far was pressure wash the front aluminum knuckles. ALL Summer at this. 6 weeks of nights putting the kit on, taking my time. A special thanks to David @2m_david for some guidance when I second guessed myself, to @thatredmonte709 & @travistreddy help holding the rear bumper while I drilled holes and such, also @youngbilly92 with mounting the massive carbon fibre rear wing and @young_mustache with the rollcage, side exit tunnel exhaust, trunk floor and such to cap it off. Can't wait to see the front half of the cage finished. I'm up there almost daily sure still tinkering with things. So thanks again for that too. 😅

A post with the tires finally on the wheels last month. Going on VERY soon. The massive brembo brakes & S1 Autowerks coilovers later as I still need to sandblast & powdercoat the subframes.
Centerlock wheels are torqued @ 395ft-lbs 😳
Tires are TOYO Proxes R888R
275/35/R18 front (18x10")
315/30/R18 rear (18x11")
Rotors size: Front 355mm & Rear 330mm

FINALLY. It's been a few months since the last post, but insanely busy on the BMW GTR NFS race car project. Plus waiting on parts sucks.... almost as much as laying them out like this for photos. So 1000% props to those who do it with 1000's of zinc'd hardware pieces to display (OCDapproved!) I literally have EVERYTHING I need to finish this. Brembo stickers are in the new Brake Line Bags and I still have to sandblast & powdercoat the subframes, X-Brace plus paint some OEM arms. Literally everything underneath will be new. Gonna feel like a new car when I'm done.
Next post: Centerlock Wheels, then the Body.

And this is only 3/4 of it. Been hoarding parts since the Fall. Most of it only arrived end of winter. Still waiting on only 1 more part, the Racing Seat by Recaro. Then metal fab work like the roll cage & side exit exhaust. Not much left really for the 2001 BMW E46 GT2/GTR 'Need For Speed' project car. Can't wait!

BOTH SOLD. BOTH are staying in NL. The red pearl metallic 1989 R32 GT-R in it's 2nd rarest color (AH3) originally came here in 2008. Sold to Rodney in 2017 and has been sitting since then (new head arrived 2 years ago plus other bits). The 1995 R33 GT-R Vspec in Midnight Purple (MNPI) came here in 2012 from Carson Exports in NS and has sat up since 2016 (by choice) with about $20k in upgrades still in boxes to go on. BOTH sold literally in the same 2 week span unknowingly by both seller's & buyer's... hilarious. What are the odds. The km's of the R32 are ridiculously low @ 24,092kms. The R33 hovers slightly past 100,000kms. Both in excellent condition. The R33 however was lightly sanded all over. Just needs a new coat of MNPI.

Both will be back on the road this Summer. 😎

Photos I did for fun of my 1:18 scale diecast NISSAN Skyline R34 GT-R Vspec II by AutoArt I purchased back around 2008 and then around 2010 purchased a 1:18 scale diecast 2001 BMW M3 GTR 'Street' by Minichamps. And I find it so odd yet funny that my BMW I purchased in 2024 is also a 2001. Go figure.

Time to kill while I wait for more parts to arrive... which is not much left. Exciting times ahead.

These 1 of 14 only sets of fully-forged aluminum wheels are of lightweight construction for centerlock mounting and are more reliable for street use, as the BBS magnesium ones are for track use only and are prone to crack & split on our streets. These 18" x 10" (fronts) and 18" x 11" (rears) will be running on 275/35 front & 315/30/R18 rear tires.

The wheel adapers are full billet CNC construction from 4340 chromoly steel, yellow-zinc plated. 190k PSI replaceable torque pins, also yellow-zinc plated.
7075-T6 aluminum centerlock nuts (2 left side in blue & 2 right side in red, inspired a la circa Porsche Carrera GT) that have to be installed with a 3" hex socket - set to 395ft/lbs of torque. Topped off with 4 lock spring clips that were powdercoated red.

Parts, parts & MORE PARTS... getting there. Just waiting on side skirts, door & rear panel side moldings. Then soon to follow, front fender side markers, grills & trim. No shortcuts here. Bringing back 2005 nostalgia into 2026! With the 2001 BMW M3 GTR Race Car... then adding it's infamous blue w/ white pinstriped livery later on. Just gonna rock the full silver & carbon look for a bit first. I mean, hey, why not, right?
