This special needs school/ day home was opened for Palestinian refugee orphans and children fi sabilillah by our Palestinian sister, who is a refugee and a widow herself, and currently houses 40 orphans/children. They are suffering from various illnesses, including various levels of disability, behavioral issues, mental health, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, some are non verbal completely and scream and shout all the time, and some of them have lost both parents, whilst some have a mother only. These children have no status and are not allowed in any Jordanian public place, including schools.

Even though they are situated in Jordan, the sister has no status, no work permit, therefore no income and the school is run purely on Sadaqah and Zakat donated by the good-hearted people. They have no help from the government or any organisation.

Our sister has dedicated all her time, efforts, help and support to take care and look after these ill and destitute orphans who were nothing but a nuisance to the society, and took them in one by one, ill, hungry, dirty, with hardly any thorn cloths on their backs.

The orphans’ age range from 4 to 17 years old.

She needs a minimum of £500 a month to run this place, to provide them with basic food, clean water, bills, medical supplies, clothes, shoes, etc.

In the videos below, you can see some of them, the state of the school and their playground.

These children need at least one hot meal a day, some milk, warm clothes, medicines, love and care, a place to learn, play and develop their social skills.

Did you know that our Prophet saws was involved in a charity organisation founded by non other but himself and his beloved wife Khadijah r.a. that supported widows and orphans for many years before the Revelation, before Islam?

And what did he saws say about the orphans in Islam?

Our Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said “The one who cares for an orphan, and myself will be together in Paradise like this’ and he held his two fingers together to illustrate.” [Bukhari].

Feeding Uganda’s most needy in 1446/2025

“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward.” (Tirmidhi)

Providing iftar and suhoor meals for ~300 of the most poor and needy people (widows, orphans, elderly, disabled) - includes rice, meat and fruit/dates.

£150/1-day will cover both Iftar and Suhoor meals for up to 300 people.

In our true tradition, let’s feed the refugees and poor in Yemen this Ramadan.

“The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6011 & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586)

With your support we have been helping Yemeni refugees and the poor for years now. We were among the first to establish contact on the ground over 5 cities (Sanaa, Dhamar, Madinat ul-Salam, An al Hathira and Hajjah). You can say it has become our tradition to care and support the people in one of the most difficult and worst impacted corners of the Earth and the most painful parts of the Ummah’s body. Last Ramadan we fed thousands, brought meat on their plate to consume for the first time in a whole year, paid off debts, bought life-saving medication, paid for life-threatening medical procedures, just to name a few. Previous Ramadans you helped us raise £4117, £5812, £7000 Ramadan before, and a smashing £10 000 Ramadan before that, with only a handful of donors. Now that we are live, we expect to smash last year’s total amount many folds Insha’Allah.

Following inflation up to 133% this year, we will not be cooking and distributing ready made dinners. Instead, to make your donations stretch as far as possible, we will be distributing food parcels including (wheat flour, rice, sugar, salt, oil, spices, onions etc) and a few hygiene items (bar of soap, shampoo, dish washing liquid) to feed the whole family for either a month or three months.

Be the part of this great project and reap immense Dunya and Akhira benefits/rewards while making the needy lives bearable.

Little Mermaid’s need our help and support!

Parents association of children with difficulties (Learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism) Little Mermaid needs our help and support.

They are the only center that provides a complete help and assistance to children and youth with various disabilities in central Bosnia. Such as an Early intervention, Defectilogical treatments, Speech therapy, Neurofeedback therapy, Sensory integration therapy, Psychomotor re-education, Inclusive nursery, Teaching assistance, Short term care, Home visits, Counselling, Educational, Creative and Cooking workshops, Transport services for children.

They have been working tirelessly to provide exceptional service for the past 12 years.

Currently they work with a 100 children in a run down, very cold and inadequate old offices.

Little Mermaid has received an UNICEF Award “Inclusion and Diversity Champion.”

Now, they are in the process of developing a new centre which costs approximately £70 000.

Let’s be a part of this amazing project helping them to achieve their goal whilst investing in our Akhira.
