Our first show at @bootleggercocktailbar was a packed house from start to finish. 🥃 Flight du mois — Don Julio Il existe des tequilas que l'on boit. Et il existe Don Julio. Fondée en 1942 par Don Julio González dans les hautes terres de Jalisco, au Mexique, la distillerie a changé la façon dont le monde perçoit la tequila. Là où la plupart plantaient leurs agaves serrés pour maximiser la production, Don Julio les espaçait davantage — leur donnant plus de soleil, plus de terre, plus de temps. Le résultat : un agave plus riche, plus complexe, et une tequila qui n'a rien à prouver. Ce mois-ci, on vous propose de la découvrir dans ses trois expressions essentielles. 🌿 Blanco — Pur, frais, végétal. Le Bootlegger est né en 2015 d'un projet étudiant avec une vision claire pour le boulevard Saint-Laurent : créer un endroit de découverte et de raffinement, à mi-chemin entre un bar à cocktails, un cabaret jazz et un speakeasy de l'ère Prohibition américaine. Dès le départ, l'idée était d'offrir bien plus qu'un simple bar : un espace intime et festif, inspiré des Années folles, où cocktails artisanaux, whisky de qualité, musique live et ambiance cabaret se réunissent pour créer une expérience unique au cœur de Montréal. Le 17 juin 2016, le Bootlegger ouvrait officiellement ses portes aux Montréalais. Ce qui a suivi, c'est dix ans de cocktails artisanaux, de whisky de qualité, de musique live, et d'une scène qui a accueilli du jazz, du blues, de la comédie, du hip-hop, et bien plus encore. Une entreprise familiale façonnée par les gens qui ont franchi cette porte et en ont fait la leur. Dix ans de cette conviction, toujours debout. Merci — de toute notre famille et de l'équipe qui rend tout cela possible. 🥃 _________________________ The Bootlegger was born in 2015 from a student project that aimed to bring an innovative concept to Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. The idea was clear: to create a place of discovery and refinement, halfway between a cocktail bar, a jazz cabaret, and an American Prohibition-era speakeasy. From its inception, the Bootlegger’s vision was to offer much more than just a bar: an intimate and festive space, inspired by the Roaring Twenties, where craft cocktails, premium whiskey, live music, and a cabaret atmosphere come together to create a unique experience in the heart of Montreal. On June 17, 2016, Le Bootlegger officially opened its doors to Montrealers. Initially conceived as an authentic What followed was nine years of craft cocktails, premium whiskey, live music, and a stage that has hosted jazz, blues, comedy, hip-hop, and everything in between. 🍹 Cocktail du mois — Easy Street Plongez dans l'univers excentrique, fantaisiste et délicieusement botanique du Gin Hendrick's. Né en 1999 à Girvan, en Écosse, Hendrick's est distillé dans deux alambics distincts puis infusé avec deux botaniques inattendus — des pétales de rose bulgare et du concombre frais — lui conférant un caractère floral, frais, et absolument unique. Pour Easy Street, on a construit autour de cette fraîcheur : fleur de sureau, concombre maison, citron frais, basilic, et soda. Le résultat : frais, élégant, parfaitement équilibré. For Easy Street, we built around that freshness: elderflower, house-made cucumber syrup, fresh lemon, basil, and soda. The result is fresh, elegant, and perfectly balanced. Un grand merci à tous les participants et à ceux qui étaient présents pour la finale de la compétition cocktail KM12 au Bootlegger. Ce fut un plaisir d’accueillir des bartenders et créateurs talentueux, chacun proposant sa propre interprétation de la forêt boréale à travers leur cocktail. Un merci tout particulier à la Distillerie du Fjord pour leur confiance et cette belle collaboration ainsi que pour nous avoir fait découvrir le KM12.
