The week is finally here! This Saturday marks my first-ever Beyond the Bar Social — “To the Barn.” We’ve got a full evening planned, and there’s a little something for everyone. Social dancing, line dance lessons, a friendly competition, and a DJ keeping the music going throughout the night. On top of that, we’ll have bonfires, s’mores, food, horses, and local vendors to enjoy. The weather is looking like it’s going to give us that perfect fall evening we’ve been waiting for, so bring a jacket, grab your friends, and come ready to spend some time outside! Whether you’re coming to dance, compete, meet new people, or just enjoy the atmosphere, we’d love to have you there. And for those planning to compete… let’s just say the prize is definitely worth showing up for. Can’t wait to see everyone Saturday. Let’s make the first one a night to remember! by @bootslidemedia
There’s no need to apologize for having dancers wake up at the crack of dawn to make videos during a dance convention weekend — especially when you’re in Utah for @spooky_swing This time around, four dancers and I ventured out to the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve to dance within God’s beautiful creation. And honestly, that’s what Beyond the Bar is all about. My PSA to dancers: Find spaces that remind you exactly why you started dancing in the first place. Whatever that reason may be, don’t let the competitions, the schedules, or the expectations of the dance community take away from it. Step outside the ballroom. Find a new backdrop. Dance somewhere unexpected. Take a moment to appreciate the people, the places, and the experiences that make this community so special. Beyond the Bar was created to take dancers out of their everyday environment and turn something we all love into a piece of art. Because country swing is more than a competition, more than a song, and more than a dance floor. Sometimes, it’s about finding beauty in the places you least expect it. by @bootslidemedia
We propose…. That you join us in Vegas for @sincitycountryswing Tag someone you want to pop the question too! Who will we see in Vegas in 2027?! by @bootslidemedia
Beyond the Bar 🤝 UTAH I am bringing my video series to the beautiful state of Utah THIS weekend for @spooky_swing , and I have hand selected two mesmerizing locations: Bonneville Salt Flats and Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve. Myself and other dancers will meet at these locations at sunrise to film their dance to their selected song, they will dance to the song three times and receive all 3 videos SAME DAY. I promise you that you will not want to miss out on this opportunity. Saturday - Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve - Sunrise is at 8 am, so we will arrive on site at 7:30 am Sunday - Bonneville Salt Flats - Sunrise is at 7 am (daylight savings time is in effect). Since this location is 2 hours away, we will be leaving at 4:30 am in order to grab coffee and and get there before sunrise. Also, it is expected to rain this day, BUT from my research the rain creates a glasslike affect on the ground - making this location that more beautiful!! Rain or shine , we are dancing !! If you are interested, please shoot me a message to inquire about signing up - there are limited spots by @bootslidemedia
