BOOZY BAR x 1086We've recently taken over management at @1086winebar in Botley Mills and have introduced a brand new 32-strong cocktail and mocktail menu.Not only have we poured our heart and soul into every sip, we've focused on collaborating with local companies and British producers. The entire menu has this close to heart and we are blessed to have such wonderful local suppliers to work with. As seen on @apprenticeuk and our interview with @bbcdorset our business owner @boozybarben talks about the after effects of being mention on the BBC and live TV. Emotional rollercoaster doesn't begin to cover how this felt. Having successfully stopped the use our business name and logo before - this felt like a trip down memory lane. Only this time it was far more prominent! Business owner, Ben, has worked far too hard over the last 5 years to build a name and reputation that has made BOOZY BAR synonymous with high-quality bar services and expertly crafted cocktails. In-fact, this is the entire reason he has now been head-hunted to manage @1086winebar in Botley and raise the standard to the level we have all come to expect from him and his team. Letting another business use this name and likeness would be an injustice to the hard work, late and sleepless nights and incredible, bespoke events we are know for. Ben's ethos, which translates into his service in BOOZY BAR and at 1086 is that our products are not our food or drinks (which absolutely SLAP) but instead our service. Our warmth, welcome and attentiveness is the real product and is exactly what hospitality is all about. 📍WINCHESTER COOKERY SCHOOL – SO23 8RZAD/PRI felt so honoured to spend Friday evening at @kavicoffeeuk for the press launch of both @winchestercookery and @kavicoffeeschool There’s far too much to cover in one post, so this is part one…Firstly, can we just take a moment to acknowledge that I was invited into a professional kitchen… which felt both exciting and mildly concerning?!Gorgeously hosted by @thedishydads @tastygarybites and @chefjaygeddes we got the full cookery school experience and I think it’s safe to say I’ll stick with writing about food rather than attempting to cook it.With a bit of expert guidance (and some patient instruction) I did manage to produce something that tasted genuinely delicious though, which felt like quite the achievement.What really struck me though was the space they’ve created here. It’s welcoming, beautifully designed, and set up in a way that makes learning feel relaxed rather than intimidating.Whether you’re a total amateur like me or someone looking to build confidence and try something new, the range of classes sounds brilliant, from seafood to Italian all under the guidance of such talented chefs.It’s the kind of experience that would make a brilliant evening out, or a gift for the food lover in your life.If you’re looking for something a bit different to do in Winchester, this is well worth having on your radar, I couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to watch the team behind it thrive.Also a quick shoutout to Ben from @boozybaruk who curated that cocktail in most of my photos, it was delicious.Follow along for part two (ft the @kavicoffeeschool experience). by @boozybaruk
