Mornings are especially beautiful in the fall at the farm by @bordersfarm1923

Today we closed the garden for the season. Compost was spread on all planting areas and the garlic was planted and covered with straw.😉 We are filled with gratitude for the leadership of our two garden managers and our crew of volunteers! Thank you!! by @bordersfarm1923

It is an outrageously beautiful and windy fall day here at the farm. Even though our events are over for the year, you can still come and enjoy the property. Our hiking trails are open dawn to dusk every day and anyone is welcome to have a picnic lunch at our picnic tables. It’s a great time of year to sit outside and read or just relax or chat with a friend. If you’re going to be at the Scituate art festival this weekend we’re only a few minutes away in Foster. If you take Central Pike instead of Rte 6 you can see the beautiful foliage along the reservoir and you can go over the Swamp Meadow Covered Bridge. by @bordersfarm1923

We had a good harvest today. We also worked on clearing some beds. The season is almost over but there is still a great deal of work to do. #bordersfarm by @bordersfarm1923

Just a perfect mushroom on the front lawn. There are many more around the farm and on our trails now. Come enjoy the early fall weather! Trails are open dawn to dusk and anyone is welcome to use our picnic benches. Come get away and unplug! by @bordersfarm1923

And just like that it’s fall! 🍂🍁The Nor’easter is almost gone and our volunteers will be out on the trails soon to see what needs to be cleaned up. We always appreciate help with trail maintenance 🥾🥾 by @bordersfarm1923

The morning started dreary, but it turned beautiful by the time the garden volunteers arrived and picked this beautiful harvest. They also did some much-needed weeding in the three sisters beds. by @bordersfarm1923
