THE HANDS behind the Borga behind the about me behind the scenes.

Many followers have hopped over from my personal account, but there’s a few GORGEOUS new followers who won’t know who the hell I am. So after much deliberation, here goes.

I’m a context person, so it’s hard to break it down to a little carousel but here’s some bits of info for you to get an idea of the story behind the hands of this little boutique.

1: a few clips of me that pretty much sums up my early childhood. We had a pouf that had all our dressing up bits, and that purple floral hand me down twirly skirt was what I wore any second I could. We spent most our time playing together in that little living room. Dancing and singing and playing together.

2: my sisters are everything.

3: where I found love for threading a needle. Sorry @bon.moo.beginnings I had to use these photos 😆

4: recently I was officially diagnosed with ADHD after years of pondering, but as a non academic, who found dressing up and being creative, day dreaming in dresses 98% of my life I would say it was a true moment of validation. I mean there’s no way I would be this far into a business adventure if it wasn’t for my ability to hyperfixate.

5:

It’s been a wild ride. Raising three kids so close in age has broken me a few times. Raising a severely autistic daughter who can’t communicate is a whole other kettle of fish.

It has been my whole identity, and now she’s getting a bit older, and I’m getting some time back (bar school holidays) I finally have a bit of air to put in my lungs. And what do I decide to do with it? Start a business 😆

Pretty self explanatory and I’m running out of caption space 😅 by @borgaborgaboutique

Borga, isn’t actually her name 😅 but we called her a few nicknames and Borgaborga is one of them. Couldn’t resist the chance to have a business with a BBB acronym.

Here’s a few pics of the dresses worn, by god they twirl well. by @borgaborgaboutique

CORSET DUSTER #2

I STILL CANT BELIEVE THIS MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO TEXAS. A week ago I was saying my goodbyes to this beauty, but now she is home and safe with her Mama. My Texan Queen!!!!

@franpool91
I’m SO excited to see this and your full attire, and it looks BOSSING on you. Thank you for calling me and SHARING THE MOMENT YOU OPENED IT!!!
Absolutely obsessed, with you and your wonderful personality.

This one was so cool to do, and I think the colours are so good. Wait until you see it on in sunlight.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be frolicking through the woods and terrorising the local villagers 🧙‍♀️🧚

OH MY GOODNESS!!! LOOK AT THEM!! JUST LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE! Thank you so much @borgaborgaboutique for our beautiful dresses, as huffy and uncooperative as she was to get photos Ellie absolutely loves her dress too💚

Prepare yourselves for an abundance of photo spam of me in this dress because I’m never taking it off 😂

Please give this wonderful lady a follow as she is so incredibly talented and also just the nicest person. I gave her a brief description of the vibe I wanted as I knew I could trust her to put my vision into reality but what she made was just so much better than I could have ever imagined.

Thank you thank you thank you 🙏 💚

SPOT YOUR ORDER

I’ve been sitting on a lot of random footage of making your delicious orders, so here’s a few moments of when I remembered to actually record. Including, threading of Janice the overlocker overlords.

Not me realising I am literally Edna Mode whilst wearing her on a top.

KEEP YOURSELF TOGETHER by @borgaborgaboutique

Ready and awaiting order’s… quite literally.

These preloved bedding sheets have been sourced by myself and two beautiful suppliers (I have to friends who are always on the look out for me and go and collect because they are legends)

I told with them that if they keep the supply up I’ll make them dresses - so win win🤣

The beauty of bedding is that it washes well, plenty of fabric to use and it’s so unique - Lord - who knows when a fabrics like this will surface again!

This is just one facet of what Borga Borga Boutique does, I also source new fabric from trusted and ethical suppliers. by @borgaborgaboutique

Crush, crush CRUSHED IT REA.

I’ve spoken about @bon.moo.beginnings before and shared the AMAZING hamper they made for my baby sister and now newly arrived nephew.

But I’ve been keeping a secret about this order, and am ELATED to show my new Borga Borga Boutique signage.

I want to walk around with it on my chest to show it off.

We go way back, we’ve been friends since the very first day of secondary/high school. Did textiles together, shared a lot of dangerously stupid nights on the town underage. Now we’re in our motherhood and business eras and I’m so proud of her work.

Reas always been special to me, and I can’t wait for you guys to see more of her beautiful hampers and bubble letters (please go and look, they are honestly stunning.)

@bon.moo.beginnings @reannelois I love you and thank you for this honestly fantastic job. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. by @borgaborgaboutique

Everything truely does just come together.

Early in starting Borga Borga Boutique, when I literally had 1 follower on Facebook (thank you Alana for being my day 1 follower)she tagged me in a post on a Facebook group, where they were asking if anyone can make a dress out of bedding.

As we all know, this is my specialty and I LOVE working with bedding. So I JUMPED and thankfully Krista put her trust in me to make this.

The specification was ‘tank skater dress’ and boy did I go wild.

Krista, thank you so much for your order, and I cannot wait to see you rocking this with your Doc Martens.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.

Keep the bedding coming and the requests, I LOVE IT ALL. by @borgaborgaboutique

When you get sent more photos and you need to share IMMEDIATELY

Oversized dungerees to pull on and run around fields.

Message to place an order to be farm girl/boy core.

@citycyclecentre_craft - the Bow denim fabric in action here - thank you for putting it aside for me and putting up with me flapping in and out of your wonderful haberdashery section 🤣🤣🤣🤣

EDIT: I now see that what I wrote at 1am after finishing a sewing session was actually gibberish so just accept my tired writing there please and thank you 🤣 by @borgaborgaboutique
