“Every minute might be the fatal moment.”
— Federico Fellini, Book Of Dreams, 12 December 1965

I did sound design for a dream Fellini wrote down in his dream journal — Then I built the picture around the soundscape.

Full clip at the link in my bio.

The crowd you just heard was never at the match.

It’s a loop group — performers watching the scene on a monitor and reacting to picture, take after take, until it sounds like a packed arena.

Top is the session, bottom is the same seconds in the finished film. The dial shows all six stems with ADR lit, because that’s where the crowd lives in this mix.

The Jobber (2025), dir. Franco Vidal.

What you think is one soundtrack is actually six.

Same two shots, played twice. First with only the production sound we recorded on the day. Then with the finished mix — Dialogue, ADR, Backgrounds, Sound Effects, Foley and Music.

Nothing changes but the audio.

The dial tracks all six stems live, so you can see which layer is carrying the scene at any moment.

The Jobber (2025), dir. Franco Vidal. Sound design with Sean Foster.

Every scene you hear in a film is actually 5-6 main tracks stacked together — Dialogue, ADR, Sound Effects, Foley, Backgrounds, and Music.
I built an interactive piece on my site where you can add each layer one at a time and hear a scene from “Blood in the Shadows” go from dead silent to fully mixed.
