The most expensive garments in the world are often decorated with one of the cheapest materials on earth:
Most beads and sequins used in garments today are made from plastic or acrylic.

I’ve been asking myself: why? Isn’t that the contrary of what luxury fashion should be? Is there a great alternative? Shouldn’t luxury be about natural elements?

So behind the scenes, we’ve been growing something else: crystals, directly grown onto fabric.

No plastic. No shortcuts.

Borrenberghs is about investing in yourself, in the best version of things. Sometimes that means rethinking what luxury fashion is actually made of. by @borrenberghs
