Bosho.369 featured dj: DJ YAHMAN (Tribal Connection)

Tokyo-based DJ and jungle devotee. DJ YAHMAN doesn’t just play strictly jungle sets. He’s known for pulling jungle elements and sensations out of all kinds of music, bending genres into that same high-speed, bass-heavy pulse.

Back in 2002 he founded the junglist crew CHAMPION BASS with friends. In 2009 he formed JUNGLE PARTY Tribal Connection, a five-piece crew (DJ YAHMAN, JUNGLE ROCK, ODE TAIJI, Tenmus, HALU) and party series fusing sound system bass, Reggae/Dub, Ragga, Jazz/Soul/R&B/Funk/Hip-Hop, House/Techno, Rave, and Ambient into one high-speed breakbeat pulse. The party runs at Torako Shokudo in Shibuya every second Saturday of odd-numbered months, and as of July 2026, they’ve hit 119 editions.

Since 2019 he’s also been behind JUNGLE DOCUMENT, a non-profit zine series on jungle culture. His DJing has taken him across Asia, from Thailand to Vietnam, Korea, and China, with mixes landing on outlets like HKCR (Hong Kong), Everyday Junglist Podcast (Detroit), and Internet Public Radio (Mexico).
