Sometimes you go to a premiere to celebrate a story and leave with one you’ll tell for the rest of your life. 🤍

We went to Brody’s premiere for @surpriseandseek , and along the way, we met @realronhoward and Bryce @brycedhoward …Legends. The kind of people whose work has lived in our homes and imaginations for years.

And yes, this New York mama stopped them to say hello. Our conversation touched on Brody’s time in Netflix’s Monster series, and what happened next is something I’ll carry with me forever.

Bryce, every bit as beautiful in her kindness as she is in person, took a moment to talk with my son. She introduced him to her dad, sharing his extraordinary journey and how he began acting at just three years old. Then, so sweetly, she offered that Brody might recognize her from the Jurassic movies.

There was such grace in the way she met him where he was. She made room for his young perspective in a conversation filled with so much history.

She took the time to offer guidance, too. What to stay away from. What to focus on. Little pieces of wisdom from someone who understands the world he’s beginning to enter.

And then she told Brody she hoped she could work with him one day.

His eyes lit up. My heart caught in my throat.

Because I could see what those words meant to him. Someone he had just met, with every reason to keep moving, had stopped long enough to make him feel seen. To leave him with a possibility.

I walked away thinking about what I hope my children remember as they find their way:

Your accomplishments can fill a room. Your kindness is what someone carries home.

Give your time generously when you can. A few minutes to you may become a lifelong memory for someone else.

And when a child shares a dream with you, be gentle with it. Your encouragement may stay with them longer than you’ll ever know.

Ron and Bryce, thank you for the warmth you shared with my son. I went that night as a proud mom celebrating his work. I left with a memory of his face that I wish I could bottle.

Of all the stories your family has helped tell, this little moment is now part of ours. 🤍 #ronhoward #brycedallashoward by @bossbabybrody
