Today is both Mother’s Day and World Lupus Day.

My mom lives with lupus, and watching someone you love navigate an autoimmune condition changes the way you think about everything.

It’s one of the reasons I wanted to create products that feel gentle, supportive, and considerate of sensitive or reactive skin.

North & Kind was never about chasing trends or creating overly complicated routines. From the beginning, I wanted to focus on barrier-first, fragrance-free skincare designed to feel comforting and simple to use.

And today, I also want to recognize the strength of those living with lupus and other chronic illnesses — especially the mothers, caregivers, and women quietly carrying so much every day.

Just a small piece of the summer that I’ll carry in my heart forever.
