Whats your favorite Emily Henry book?

Have you read Funny Story yet? and if you have where does it land on your list of her books? by @bostonbookworm77

What’s everyone currently reading?

I finished The Pisces last night (review coming soon) and put a poll up on my stories for you guys to help me pick my next read and so far Acts of Desperation is winning! I’ve heard so many good things about this one and @hotgirlliterature told me I had to read it and Alyssa has impeccable reading taste so I trust the rec! Also I love any book that centers an unhinged woman so this seems perfect for me!

I know it’s not a spooky book and I was trying to read spooky books for autumn but I’m a mood reader so I’m not trying to send myself into a reading slump by forcing myself to read a book I don’t want to 😭

It’s my day off today and I haven’t had a lot of time to read lately so I’m planning on spending as much of today as possible just reading and relaxing ❤️

How everyone else’s October reading going? Any new favorites yet??

Anyone else always matching what they’re annotating with to the colors of their books?? 💙💙 by @bostonbookworm77

Under the Iron Sky
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75

Shout out to @camilleofbooks for the rec!!! I picked this on up on a whim after she said it was a really good enemies to lovers fantasy and I have been slumping so hard I needed something that would get me back into reading!! And this definitely delivered!! I couldn’t put it down!
Plus the reverse dust jacket art is so cool 💙

It definitely reads like a debut, the world building was a bit lacking and it felt like it was mostly just background to the relationship between Soraya and Ikarus. As much as I loved reading about them I do wish we got more of the world around them, the history between the rival peoples and we didn’t really get any of that.

But the characters were great! I loved all the side characters and the friendships here! I loved the banter between the main characters and all their bickering ❤️ and now I have to wait at least a year for the second book 😩😩

If you’re looking for something fun and quick to read I definitely recommend this one!! by @bostonbookworm77

Went to Barnes and Noble to pick up one book and ended up with five… and that’s just how it goes 🤣

I had to get Wildwood after seeing the movie (it was amazing you absolutely should see it in theaters) and then I remembered Slantwise Histories had been relapsed and Alix E Harrow is one of my favorite authors so I needed to get her short story collection!!

The other three books were impulse buys ❤️ by @bostonbookworm77

Had a bit of free time and sat down to read a book in one sitting 💜

I ended up having to go back home before I finished but I did go back and finish it later in the day and really liked it!! I gave it 3.5 stars and a review to come soon by @bostonbookworm77

What’s everyone currently reading?? I need some good recs to get me out of this insane slump!!

I’ve haven’t been posting much because I’ve been slumping hard guys… I barely read anything in September and I haven’t finished a book yet this month…
Work has been kicking my add lately but it’s slowing down and I’m trying to spend less time on my phone and more time reading! I can feel my brain rotting everything I doom scrolling for an hour in TikTok 🤣🤣

My only reading goal for October is to finish the three books I’m in the middle of: Golden Son (obviously ❤️❤️), the Bitch, and Little Alleluias. If I can finish these then I’ll consider this month a reading success!! by @bostonbookworm77

It’s been a while since I’ve read something from Victoria Aveyard and I didn’t plan on reading these books but when the series was moved to adult and given new covers…. Yeah that got me. I mean just look at how pretty the cover art is!!

Do I know anything about this series? No. Have I seen any reviews for it? Not really… But I’m going in with high hopes but low expectations. So if anyone has read this one pleaseeeee tell me if it’s good!! by @bostonbookworm77

Last week was so busy for me I barely got any reading done but I’m less busy this week which means it’s time to dive back into my reread of Golden Son 💛 🐺 💛🐺

This is my favorite book in the series! At least in the first half, I’ll have to do another reread of books 4-6 to decide which one is my absolute favorite but Golden Son is an almost perfect book so it’s hard to beat! Maybe Light Bringer will be my fav but I’m honestly to scared to do a reread of that one since it’s going to make me cry 😭 by @bostonbookworm77

Omnis got lupus 🐺 🐺 🐺

I saw @sanjsreads rereading Red Rising and I just HAD to join ❤️ this is my favorite series of all time and I usually end up reading at least the first book once a year!

I’m on Golden Son now, onto part 3 and it’s really starting to pick up!! I know how it ends so I’m bracing myself for the heartbreak but at least I don’t have to wait for the next book and will be able to jump right into Morning Star!

If you haven’t read this series yet you absolutely need too!!! This is one of the best series I’ve ever read, it’s got an amazing cast of characters, incredibly battle scenes, and it will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time!! Every book is better than the last and they are all 6 star reads for me ❤️❤️❤️ by @bostonbookworm77

Spent a week reading at the beach and literally only got one picture lol 😂 I wasn’t really on my phone that much but I read a TON!! I only finished three books but two of them were over 700 pages…

I finally finished the fifth book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series! I started this last month and only got like 36 pages in before putting it down for a bit but having time at the beach to read gave me the motivation to pick it back up! And finish the sixth book too!
The series has lost a little bit of the magic from the first two books for me and the bigger they get the more I think they are starting to really drag in the middle but I always end up loving them regardless and Matt really knows how to pack in a ton of insanity in the last 100 pages 😂😂

I’m taking another break from the series to read some shorter books but I’ll be going back to the seventh book soon enough!!

If you haven’t read this series honestly is such a fun time I really recommend it!! by @bostonbookworm77

Been a while since I’ve posted… I’ve been so busy with work lately I’ve had no time to read 😭😭 I’ve had no time to do anything really lol BUT next week I’ll be on vacation so it’ll just be a week of me sitting on the beach and reading 🩷🩷

I always end up bringing an insane amount of books with me that I know I’ll never get through but I love options!
Give me all your recommendations for beach reads I should get to!! I have so many I’m trying to narrow it down to like 10 🤣 by @bostonbookworm77
