now is the time exercise your right to love, to learn and to be kind to yourself as you go through & continue to process everything that is life 🧡 there's no need to be perfect. nothing in life will ever be perfect. At any age, things will be ever-changing.
it's great to challenge yourself, but not to punish yourself in the process. I try to practice it every day, but hey.. I'm not perfect (;

Hi everyone! For those who don’t know me, my name is Lindsay Chmura, the creator behind Moonlit by Linds! 🌙✨

With some life changes happening lately, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share a little bit about my art, my small business, and what being part of this community means to me.

Creating art has always been a way for me to express myself, find healing, and connect with others. Moonlit by Linds is something I’ve built from a genuine love for creativity, self-expression, and the little things that bring people happiness. I want to continue being part of a community where people feel welcomed, supported, and safe being themselves.

I’m still here, still creating, and still proud to be part of the Boston Flowmies community! Life may look a little different for me right now, but I’m looking forward to this next chapter and continuing to share my creativity with you all.

I also want to give a special thank you to Rachel. I can’t thank her enough for everything she does and for being such a good friend to me. Having genuine people in your corner makes such a difference, and I’m incredibly grateful for her. 💕

Thank you to everyone who supports my art, my small business, and the person behind it. There’s more to come, and I’m happy to keep creating alongside you all. 🫶 by @bostonflowmies

🌟 2nd Annual Flowmifest - 2026 🌟

On the last weekend of September, Boston Flowmies, Heat Records, Dot Bass, and the entire community rallied together for a cause.
A dear friend + artist @lordfetterman tragically lost his apartment to a fire and everyone came together to raise funds, raffle items, and be there in support- no matter the weather (fuck you, nor’easter❗️)
This was my first year i was asked to lead the Crafts and Activities table and i felt absolutely honored.
Bringing community together through shared interests, artistic expression, and whimsy silly fun- is what truly keeps me going.

A special shoutout to @rachel_gies for always believing in my abilities, prioritizing art and artistry in all forms, and being my hype woman.
I am truly grateful our paths crossed.🌱

Another shoutout to @briannaroddd for being my rock throughout the fest. From organizing the setup, breakdown and setup, and for bringing me constant giggles. 🤍

I can’t wait to be back again next year.
Much love,
Nic⋆˚꩜｡

Nice Sprout 7 PM 😇🌱

Emmy and I are going back to back for the first time, a nod to the ways in which Emily has had my back throughout our friendship. From the moment we met, I knew Emily was an incredible person through and through. This may turn into a sappy Emmy appreciation post and I’m okay with that :) I asked Emily to play the second Boston Flowmies meetup back in 2024, and the rest was history. She’s been one of the most supportive, helpful, proactive, and generous people along my journey the past two years. From hosting shows at Cantab, to our silly little adventures and deep talks, I say with confidence that she is one of the most lovely people that I’ve had the privilege of knowing. She held the role as artist relations coordinator on the Flowmies team up until she moved up to Portland for medical school, and her dedication to helping others still inspires me to this day; although I miss having her 10 minutes down the road.

I can’t begin to explain how excited I am for tomorrow, to see all of our hard work come to fruition. The Boston Flowmies wouldn’t be what it is today without the dedication from my team members, the support from other organizations, and support from each and every one of you 💗 if you’ve stuck with me for this long, I love you and I thank you.

With that said, it’s going to be a wet one tomorrow so please carpool or uber if you can, the spot is near the water and I wouldn’t want anyone being affected by potential floods. In all my 26 years living in Dorchester (minus a few out in wmass) I haven’t seen it get flooded like that but I’d rather be safe than sorry, so PSA to everyone attending tomorrow.

With love and gratitude, Rachel 💗🌱 taken in Dorchester, Boston by @bostonflowmies

۞ BOSTON FLOWMIFEST WORKSHOPS ۞

Hi everyone! Darcy here. In this workshop we will be reviewing the pizza toss and other horizontal plane moves. Most people know and love the vertical plane, so let’s try something new from a foundational standpoint! 🌀 *This is a beginner-friendly workshop*

See you at 5 PM in the workshop room!

Spencer Dunbar is a Flow artist from Beverly,MA, with his main props being Contact Poi and Dragon staff. The fire is a bridge to other artworks, as spencer is also a glass artist under the name @briggsglassworks ! Both also hold the common theme of intentional movement, presence, returning to your body, and only using your mind as a tool for your expression.

This Dragon Staff workshop will be covering the basics of chi rolls, timing, centering, and basic tosses/ contact rolls. This is a flexible class, so if we have more beginners, it will be more beginner oriented! The same is true for more intermediate spinners! The goal of this class is to meet people where they’re at. Bringing your own staff is encouraged, we will have a few extras on hand, but definitely not enough for everybody, so we will have to share!

See you at 6 PM!

Jake from @mass.kendama will be teaching Kendama, a ball and cup skill toy. He will be teaching everything from how to learn your first trick to more advanced tricks. Kendama is a super fun skill toy originating from Japan. We will have tons of kendamas to try so come play kendama with us!

See you at 7 PM !

Gianna (aka CyberSphynx) is a Massachusetts based flow artist who will be performing as well as hosting an Intermediate Hoop Combos workshop at Flowmifest! She has years of professional fire and LED performance experience, as well as teaching experience through hosting hoop workshops and her day job as a gymnastics coach! This workshop will consist of learning some fun techy tricks fused together through smooth transitions. We’ll break it down together piece by piece, then go over everything as one consecutive combo. This workshop is best suited for flow artists with a basic knowledge of the prop, though anyone who wishes can partake! Bring a hoop and come ready to have fun & spice up your flow!
