I can’t believe there are so many of you here - let me introduce myself! 🥰

hi, i’m alexis 🌿

I’m a 26 year old mom, nursing student, and plant lover based in ohio. i’m working toward a career in midwifery, and as a very young girl, plants became one of my favorite ways to slow down and take care of something. ⛅️

this account is where i share the plants i love, honest care tips, and the little corners of my home i’ve made my own. you’ll find everything from rare aroids to everyday growers, all with a lot of love behind them. 🪴

I’m SO glad you’re here. 💕

You can grab my @solsoils discount through the link in bio and come along with me - planting seeds and cultivating knowledge. 🌱 by @botanicalexis_

I couldn’t be happier with the way these turned out! Another planty project DONE ✅ (thanks to my amazing husband for hanging up the shelves 💕). I really wanted to add character and whimsy to above the bed and I think it turned out PERFECT! Would you add something like this to your home? 🤗🪴 #houseplants #plantmom #growth #fyp #plants by @botanicalexis_

Meet my Pilea 🌱 Those little pancake leaves are my favorite thing about this plant. Bright, indirect light, a good drink only when the top inch of soil is dry, and a quarter turn every week so it grows evenly.

Plant the seed, cultivate the knowledge. 💚

Pink polka dots on a begonia?? Yes, please. 🌸🌿

Look at these leaves. Deep burgundy-green, dusted in pink spots, with that red underside peeking through. A fresh cutting like this is the start of a whole new plant, and it’s the best part of owning a Begonia maculata.

Want to propagate your own?
✂️ Cut a stem just below a node
💧 Pop it in water or moist soil
☀️ Keep it in bright, indirect light
💨 Add some humidity and be patient

Plant the seed, cultivate the knowledge. 🌱

Would you try propagating one of these? Tell me below 👇

🌿 Meet Ficus elastica, the rubber plant. Those big glossy leaves are basically solar panels, so a little dust means less energy. Wipe them with a damp cloth and she’ll thank you with growth.

Quick care notes, Botanifam:
☀️ Bright, indirect light
💧 Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry
🔄 Rotate her every so often so she doesn’t lean toward the window
⚠️ The milky sap can irritate skin, so wash your hands after pruning

She’s tall, glossy, and low-maintenance, so she’s basically the plant world’s overachiever. Just don’t let her know she’s the favorite. 😉

Plant the seed, cultivate the knowledge. 🌱

I’ve been trying out the new hydroponic system from @ahopegarden_official - here are my results! It makes it easy to grow fresh greens at home with its easy set up so you can harvest what you need when you need it. It’s great for compact spaces, too! Link in bio if you want to try it out for yourself 🤗🪴✨ #ahopegarden #hydroponicgarden #growyourownfood #indoorgardening #freshgreens by @botanicalexis_
