day 5 of turning my space into the biophilic home of my dreams 😍

I knew I wanted to do something different with the kitchen in this space but still needed to keep it renter friendly.

reflection… 💭 read 👇🏽

i do a lot of reflecting, and one thing i keep coming back to is that you really are in control of what grows in your life, the same way we choose the plants in our collections.

i’m big on letting go of people, places, plants, and perspectives that are no longer serving me. and i’m still working on mastering the art of detachment, something i think a lot of us struggle with.

we hold on because we’re attached to who or what something used to be, or who and what we hoped it would become. but you can honor something and still know it’s time to move on.

think about our plants when a leaf starts to yellow. they’re letting go of what they no longer need so they can keep growing.

and just like that leaf, some things have already given us everything they had to give. the friendship that feels heavy now, the place you’ve outgrown, the old version of you. keep the lesson and release the rest.

new growth always needs space, so give it some. 🤎

did you need this today?

OBSESSED 😍

I can’t wait to collect them all! I heard they will be having a full line up at PlantCon coming up but you can always check their site or live sales for restocks if you don’t catch them at plant shows! 🤭 @mysecretplantshop

which one made you gasp? 👀

i started gardening for the flowers. i didn’t expect it to teach me how to handle loss, start over, and keep showing up. my grandmother knew all of this long before i did. #ad #miraclegropartner @miraclegro

which lesson hit closest for you? 🌱

it wasn’t always like this… read 👇🏽

i don’t share my space to show off. i share it because i want you to see what’s possible for you too.

most people don’t know my story, but i am so proud of how far i’ve come. plants started as a way to get through one of the hardest seasons of my life, a little peace in a home that had almost none. they ended up saving my life.

so when you see me creating these spaces and living this life i get to live, it’s so much more than an aesthetic. it’s me documenting every silent prayer that got answered and every dream i once only hoped for. sharing it with you is my way of saying thank you out loud.

because i remember how this started (the last slide shows a small piece of it) i remember what plants carried me through, and what they carried me to. i still cry about it. sometimes from joy, sometimes because it really wasn’t that long ago.

so wherever you are right now, in your plant journey, your creator journey, or just life, keep going. none of this happened overnight, and i never imagined life would bring me here. but all i did was keep showing up, and i’m so glad i did. i can’t wait to see where your journey takes you too 🤎
