When growing philodendron, you will at times run into a new emerging leaf that gets “stuck”. In my experience, this is usually due to low humidity or inconsistent watering. Spraying the leaf with a spray bottle can boost humidity temporarily and sometimes the leaf can free itself with the extra moisture. FUNGUS GNAT LARVAE CONTROL
Fungus gnats are common pest problems, especially with high organic and moisture content in growing media or soil. For use in growing media or soil of house, garden, and landscape plants and home mushroom beds.
Mix 4 tablespoons of MOSQUITO BITS® per 1 gallon of water. Soak for 30 minutes and remove the granules. Stir or shake the water then apply treated water directly to soil or growing media surface. Compost or discard used granules.
This treatment controls fungus gnat larvae present in the soil at the time of application. Repeat weekly for three weeks. Repeat treatment again if fungus gnats reappear. #fungusgnats #mosquitobits #plantcare #planttips #plants by @botanicobsession505

Black Lipstick Pagoda — Care Tips:

Light: Bright, indirect light. (East facing window if northern hemisphere). Avoid harsh afternoon rays that can scorch the leaves.

Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let it drain completely.

Soil: Well-draining potting mix. A cactus/succulent blend works well.

Temperature: Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C). Protect from frost and cold drafts.

Humidity: Average indoor humidity is fine. Avoid overly damp conditions. Mine did not like my tropical humidity. Thrives with my cacti and succulents.

Fertilizer: Feed lightly once a month during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Skip in fall and winter.

Pruning: Remove dead or damaged leaves as needed to keep it tidy.

Toxicity: Pet friendly and non-toxic for cats and dogs.

My plants face the window for the light they need—but standing outside, they look like they’re reaching for something more. Same plants, same window, two completely different stories.

That’s the thing about growth: it all depends on where you’re standing. A plant doesn’t bloom overnight, and neither do we. It leans toward the light, survives the seasons, and keeps growing even when no one’s watching. Some days you’re on the outside looking in, wondering if you’re doing it right. Other days you’re on the inside looking out, realizing you’ve been growing all along.

Life is a matter of perspective. Nurture what you want to grow, and the choice is yours.
