I’m stuck in that gap where I’m happy with my sketches and drawings, but not the overall style of my finished pieces so I find myself struggle to ever actually finish anything, but I’m trying to get back into the groove. How to come back from the dead:

It’s a question that’s kept me from posting for far too long. I took a break from creating and an even longer break from posting. Even once I found my creative juice again and started making art I was actually proud of, I found it insanely difficult to actually post any of it. I think in the back of my head I thought I needed some big resurrection of my account: a content calendar and plan to post regularly, a more solidified style, a business model for what it was I was trying to do. I felt like if I wasn’t leaps and bounds better at art than I was when I last posted, it wasn’t worth posting at all.

So hi, I’m here and I’m still unsure of myself and my art and I don’t have a plan to make something of myself. I just make art that feels good and I have fun doing it and hopefully I improve along the way. I’m not going to post regularly or pay attention to trends or what I should and shouldn’t be doing or focus on building my followers. I’m just going to share what I’ve got where I’m at and tell myself that it’s enough. Baby steps!

There, now I’ve ripped the bandaid off! Hello, again! 👋 taken in Portland, Oregon by @both.pdx

Fun doodling project last night. I drew a bunch of blobs and then tried to turn them into faces. 10/10, highly recommend.
