This week on Church Talks, we sat down with Nick Bothe from Elevation Church, six months into the Gold Coast and carrying real fire.

Nick shares the calling he heard at 14, the night God told him “I’m proud of you” before he’d done anything in ministry.
It’s honest, it’s vulnerable, and it points to a God who’s always on the redemption path.

five years with my bride x

had the opportunity to spend our anni in the most insane spot. first one where bella has become super fun and her personality is coming out - best time.

it’s been a wild five years and I want to publicly honour her. she’s sacrificed so much, become the best mum to bella and continues to fear the Lord and love me.

I don’t know where I’d be without her.
She’s strong when im not, she grounds me when im fearful, she encourages me when i dont believe in myself.

She is the greatest wife. A proverbs 31 wife.

So here’s to us starting a family.
Here’s to us doing this life together.

The gospel isn’t stale or dry, but living and active. The gospel is never discounted, it never goes on sale, but has a cost = to surrender EVERYTHING to Christ.

Honoured whenever I get to preach the gospel to a room of people who need Jesus. Many people came to Christ, rededicated their hearts and got baptised on NYE25!

Doing some incredible work for the kingdom ❤️‍🔥

I believe 2026 will be a year where the kingdom of God advances far more than we’ve seen. Something in my bones!

Look at what the Lord has done  
9 years pastoring
12 years leading in
14 years attending
480 Friday nights

Last Friday was our last night as youth pastors of @empirescc  
As I reflect on over a decade of youth ministry, I can’t help but think of what the Lord has done. From preaching my first youth message at 18yrs old, to my last one at 30. Every youth camp, every Friday night, every team member, every leader, every school breakfast, every miracle, every mountain climb (countless might I add), every leaders bootcamp, every baptism, every life group, every life change and every teenager we’ve been able to serve. Truly, the greatest days of our lives.

Filtering through countless photos of the times and the people that came along the journey with us brings such clarity that YOUTH MIN is the BEST MIN. Period.
It’s been our greatest joy to give our entire 20’s to seeing God in move in the next generation, but the time has come to hand on the baton.

We’re so excited to announce that we are handing on empire to @beck_mckay_ and @cooper_1301 . These two leaders are heavyweights in the kingdom and have proved time and time again that they are called for such a time as this. We truly believe that they will take empire to places that we couldn’t. The best days are in front. One thing I know for sure is that this generation is poised for revival!

To all the team, thank you for the ride. We love you all and can’t wait to see what God is about to do. “Do not fear, only believe.” This is only the beginning.

Born 1:18am on Oct 16th 2025 x Weighing 3.5kg

Mum is recovering so well, baby is healthy and an absolute dream. We cannot be more grateful than we are right now 😭🥹

God has been so so so so so kind to us.

bbymoon up on the mountains ⛰️

turned the phone off and pretty much just sat in front of a fire with a book for 5 days straight, the things dreams are made of 😌

95 days and little one will be earth side. Can’t help but thank Jesus for this little life of ours.

Some people also call me (Nick) the chicken whisperer, just sayin’
(DM us the word ‘chicken’ for all the tips)
