I always struggle this time of year as darkness comes so much earlier. I'm missing my gardens but, am already planning on what I'll plant next spring. Happy birthday, Dad. You are missed every day. There is an empty spot in my heart. I miss our deep conversations and also our daily phone calls about nothing much. I miss having you come and sit on the deck with me. I miss not having you come by for coffee and a treat. I miss your goofy jokes and your laughter. I miss your thoughtful words of wisdom. I miss the smile and kindness. Tomorrow I'm driving a country road to spend time with a grandson. Bringing out some shades of brown. Letting some of my bowls go on to their next caretaker. Yesterday's rain was so needed. The cooler weather was a reminder that summer is winding down. The earlier sunsets tell me to savor these days. 🌻🌿✌️ by @bouchardsheree

What a way to spend a birthday. Younger grandson Declan turned 12 today . Doing something the brothers share a love for, fishing! Runs in the family. Hunter will be 15 next month. They each have pieces of my heart. by @bouchardsheree

This is my first Father's Day without my dad. Tears come to my eyes just typing the words. He was such a good person, a great father. Always willing to help, full of love for his family and friends.
