We’re Matt + Tasha. Chasing scenic roads, wild places, and unforgettable sunsets across North America in Hope, our adventure van, with our pup, Nalu✨
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The boujee hippies new journey begins, in an extra boujee way. But first, we pay tribute to how we got here. We’ve spent the last 8 years camping out of our Jeep Wrangler. From northern Lake Tahoe, CA to the majestic mountains of Colorado, down to the Baja desert of Mexico. We’ve explored so much of the west coast while living in Phoenix, AZ but times and locations have changed.

We moved to the MidWest in 2023 and boy did these two Floridians forget what humidity brings to outdoor adventures. Sweat, bugs, and weather. We were so far removed from the elements, but after a few rough experiences, we knew a camper van was a must in order to keep our adventure life on the road. Happily anyways.

Today we introduce, Hope, our new Pleasure Way OnTour 2.2 camper van. We purchased Hope from a retired military couple, Buck & Debby. Hope was actually Debby’s rig. The van and name have great sentimental value to her and it’s an honor to continue the journey, continue the spirit.

So here we are, let’s see where the universe takes us.
Aloha,

Emerald Lake was our favorite stop in the Banff area. The scenery felt untouched, even with a hotel tucked away off to the side and once again, we beat the crowds by arriving just before 9am.

Notice how still the water is? Same as Lake Louise, you have to beat the canoes. The reflection is so enchanting.

We wanted to be one of the first on the water, so we joined the canoe line and launched right at opening, 10am. So worth it — the water was as still as it gets, and nature’s sounds were the focal point instead of human noise. There’s a special kind of energy sitting in a canoe on a glacier-fed turquoise lake✨ taken in Emerald Lake, British Colombia by @boujee_hippies

Lake Louise, known as the most iconic place in Banff National Park. I woke up before first light to secure a parking spot, beat the crowds, and capture our own iconic moments at the lake. This photo was our fav!

Pro Tip: If you’re wanting the water to be as still as possible for that perfect reflection shot, you must beat the canoes to the punch. Arrive before sunrise🌅

Tasha gradually got out of bed as I drove into the park, this is the cool part about having a van and being apart of a team. We pull each other along different parts of the journey to create and ensure those epic moments without keeping score. Tash ain’t waking up that easy.

We accept and honor each other’s strengths and weaknesses along each journey to maximize each adventure. After 16 years together, we’re pretty cued in on what those things are and when we need to step up for one another.

The milky turquoise water is derived from glacier water melting off the surrounding mountains and collecting fine rock particles along the path down combining to create glacier flour. The suns rays hit these particles creating the iconic turquoise colors and reflections people travel from around the world to take in and capture.

By 7am, the park began to fill up and we started to make our way back to our van to beat the crowds to our next stop, Emerald Lake.

15 days, 2 countries, 7 states, 1 music festival, 4k+ miles = the trip of the year 🇺🇸🇨🇦

It all started back in September of 2025 sitting at LAX debating if 2026 was the year for us to make our first trek to Shambhala Music Festival, and Canada! We were traveling home from Lewis Howe’s Summit of Greatness in LA so our energy, hearts, and minds knew no bounds. Pure limitless abundance mode, so we bought our tix the second they went on sale. If you know Shambs, you know it sells out within the hour so second guessing isn’t an option. To note, the prior year we purchased our first duplex investment property in this same fashion at the same conference. Yes, we have a problem and we blame Lewis. Anyways, after almost missing our flight home we realized we bought RV passes without owning an rv and not realizing renting one for such a long trip would be more difficult than we knew. This scenario is just normal life for us but we lack awareness in these high vibe moments. Scary and fun at the same time, that’s just who we are and we fucking love it. Most of the time.

After 10 months of planning, debating, overthinking and underestimating the journey ahead, we left Kansas City, MO ready to conquer and stumble through the next 15 days. We stayed in SD at a Harvest Host the first night, then base camped in Montana so Matt could work a couple days prior to going off grid. The river was the perfect remote work back drop and Nalu got some quality family time before being dropped off with a sitter before crossing over into Canada.

Spruce On The River in Kalispell, MT

We prepped in Creston, BC securing fresh fruit and cannabis before caravanning into Shambs with our friends from Colorado that we met as our camp neighbors at Electric Forest back in 2024. They’re pretty epic humans. Shambs didn’t disappoint and is definitely one of our top three festivals to date. The river, the sense of freedom, the music, the care free vibe is unmatched. If you know us, you know we hate rules and love to see people feel comfortable enough to let their light shine or freak flag fly. Life’s too short ya know?!? More on Shambs to follow in a later post.

Summertime Chi + Rufus Du Sol 🫠

Our first trip was to Chicago for a bucket list show at Wrigley Field, Rufus Du Sol. Immaculate vibes and one of the most intentional performances we’ve experienced. Wrigley is such a special place and when you add Rufus, it’s unmatched. This coming from a Boston Red Sox fan, growing up at Fenway park.

We stealth camped for the first time in Ravenswood district of Chicago right next to Wrigleyville. The sounds of the L rocked us to sleep and helped disguise there was a family of three sleeping in a van on the side of a city street. We got some beach time in the next morning and started the journey home. Nalu has some growing up to do before running off leash with the big dogs but she is getting there.

Farm hopping! Harvest Host is the coolest idea to connect property/business owners to RV travelers. We had the opportunity to stay on a flower farm and a winery this trip. Shout out to Mary and Dale for being then most kind & generous people who just simply want to share their blessings with fellow travels and gives access to their farm for others to appreciate, it’s what their family wanted after being passed down. Experiences such as this really allows you to enjoy the journey, and stop’n smell the flowers and connect with other quality humans that have found purpose & joy in the quiet life. On to the next 🚐 taken in Wrigley Field by @boujee_hippies
