Swipe to see the process of this watercolor of a Swainson's Hawk

This year I decided to do a watercolor of a different bird I've seen everyday of the year. This is no. 236. It's been a great way to explore watercolors and different styles whole also pushing me to see more birds. So far I still need to see 7 more species to get to 365 taken in Portland, Oregon by @boundarylayerceramics

There's something so delightful and satisfying about firing a kiln on your own. Excited that I'll have these pieces for @godwitdays and @ceramicshowcase It's been a busy few weeks but it's alway worth the work

The more time I spend amongst the plants and animals here, the more inspired and at home I feel.
