Pink Ink - @avina.stgraves 💕

This book FLEW straight into my TOP 3 FAVOURITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME the second I finished it. 😭💕

There are SO many little details and specifics that were absolute perfection, and as a graduated film student, I couldn’t help but pick up my camera and act again. 🎥

I’m still thinking about this book and I cannot WAIT to tell you all more in my full review. 👀

But for now… you NEED this book ASAP. Trust me. 🖤

Wanted to hop onto this trendddd. 💜

Little miss me is the world’s slowest reader, and y’all already know these books have my whole heart, so I had to add a “books I can’t wait to read/I know I’ll love” page for when your girl finally catches a break and can give y’all something new to scream about. 😂📖

Tagged a few of you to join, but if you weren’t tagged, consider this your sign. I want to see everyone’s takes! 👀✨

To Hell with Bad Decisions, book 2 of the Hellion Harlot Collection, audiobook is NOW LIVE!

Surprise!
Book 2’s audiobook dropped on June 29 last week and I’m so thrilled that she’s finally here!!! @theo_and_madi return for another brilliant performance, this time performing as Reagan and Jeremy in the dangerously sinful sequel to The Bombshell Devil’s Advocate, and reprising old roles and dominating new ones!

A humongous shoutout to my beautiful friends @shadowofpunkreads and @boundinindigo , the IRL Reagan and Indigo duo for ABSOLUTELY SLAYING their cosplays and performances of my gals!!!! We’re just getting started with these, and I’ve got other baddies lined up to bring some unforgettable cosplays within the next year 😈

Bad Decisions is available now on Audible! Slip into something demonic and follow Reagan Valentine, an underpaid, underappreciated succubus navigating the demonic underworld of Hollywood while taking on the most dangerous task of her life: corrupting a demon hunter.

Cosplay and acting by: @shadowofpunkreads , @boundinindigo

Where Dead Leaves Lie 🍂 @ameliewestbooks (coming out October 5th!)

Novellas will always have a special place in my heart. I love stepping into a world for a moment to then reflect on the story for hours afterwards.

The terror in this book was BEAUTIFUL. The fear of not knowing what’s in the dark… not knowing if you’re being watched… or not trusting yourself if it’s all in your head. 👀

“It was a nightmare, a dreadful trick of her imagination.”

There were so many layers in this novella it had me re-reading it immediately after I finished.

This is the perfect spooky, short (38 pages), fall time read, filled with a haunted farmhouse, creepy cornfields, and so so so much more.

I can’t wait to read more of West’s work! Go read this !!! 🧡

Hackett Creek @raellelowe.author 🍽️

What could EVER go wrong when you go into a cabin in the woods for a little trip with friends?

… everything can go wrong.

This hillbilly cannibal book was SOMETHING ELSE.

Raelle, your writing is VISCERAL. Your descriptions put you right in the middle of the scene even when you desperately do NOT want to be there… because I definitely did NOT want to be sitting at that dinner table. 🥴

And the tension??? The characters??? DAMN. I was rooting for things at the WORST possible times, and somehow that made everything ten times more stressful.

But underneath all the horror, there was SO much more being explored. This book had so many serious themes woven throughout it about SA, dissociation, trauma, and so much more.

“My body aches to be held, to be touched in a way that no one has dared: in a gentle manner without obligation or debts.”

And

“I can’t help but wish it were a bear that I’d met in the woods. A bear would only consume me.”

Because sometimes the things that hurt the most are the things that hit a little too close to home.

“You have to decide if you’d rather let that fear consume you or swallow it down and use it to push you forward. Your choice.”

That line especially stuck with me because fear is EVERYWHERE in this book.

“No one is safe from death. But we can live so that when the time comes, when it’s the only door left to open, we can say that life meant something.”

And the parallels between the characters??? The loneliness, the pain, the feeling of being an outsider and wanting OUT…

“You are an outsider. A lonely, lost shell of a person who has felt pain, felt loss. You wanted out. Well, so do I. We aren’t so different, you and I.”

And somehow, after all the horror, there’s a thread of hope underneath it all.

“The dirt will absorb the evil like it done to the oil, and maybe one day these woods will bear life instead of death.”

Buddy reading this with @stefs.booked and @bissettsbookishbliss (and @shadowofpunkreads watching our slow demise) just made it SOOOOO MUCH better, I loved ripping away the layers with these ladies to expose what layed bare underneath. ❤️

“We got a curse inside us,” If I were religious, I’d say it was the devil in our blood. But I ain’t. We got bad in us. It’s a fact of life. But I’ll teach you how to live with it.”

Happy Release day to… The Need - @meganmostynbrownwriter 🩸🙂‍↕️

The Need follows a family carrying a rare genetic disorder with a horrifying requirement: those who have it must consume human flesh… or die. For some, The Need is a source of power. For others, it’s a curse they would do anything to escape.

At the heart of the story are twins Sam and Rosie, and their mother, Talia, who is desperately trying to protect them while navigating a life that has never exactly been normal.

Sam is tormented by The Need. Rosie, meanwhile, has managed to escape the curse and desperately wants the chance to live a normal life.

“You might try to run away from what you are. But it will always catch up with you.”

And honestly? That theme runs through EVERYTHING.

This isn’t just a story about a horrifying genetic curse. It’s about family, identity, privilege, social status, survival, and the things people will do to protect the life they think they deserve.

I honestly felt like I was reading someone’s diary at times. The story jumps from one person to the next, letting us inside their thoughts and feelings about each other. Their hatred, their love, their fear, their guilt, their resentment. And I really loved that.

It made everything feel incredibly intimate and messy in the best way.

“I wish my feelings about my brother were black and white. But he’s nothing but gray in my heart. He always will be.”

Yet, some don’t care about the consequences of their actions……

“I’m the angel of mercy. I put other people out of their misery.”

And THE ENDING????? Omg. 😭

I genuinely did NOT see ALLLLL of that coming.

I went into this book not really knowing what to expect, and somehow ended up completely invested in this dysfunctional, complicated family and their attempt to survive something they can’t simply outrun.

Bonetide - @authorhalle 🌊🤍

“Don’t let him in.”

Well… I suggest otherwise, because OH MY GOD. I am FERAL over what Karina put in this book.

This immediately went into my top five favourite books ever.

When Iris Galloway inherits her great-aunt’s cottage on a remote Scottish loch, the terms seem simple: live there for one year, and the cottage is hers.

Easy enough, right?

Except there’s a handsome man swimming in the loch at night.

A man who eventually appears at her door and asks to come in.

“That fucking smile, the one the wolf might give before it devours the lamb.”

LIKE????? EXCUSE ME????

The tension in this book was SO DAMN GOOD. The atmosphere completely sucked me in. I felt like I was standing in that fog beside Iris, surrounded by the loch, the cottage, the darkness, and the constant feeling that something was watching from just beyond the water.

And there are LAYERS upon layers here. Scottish folklore, witchery, plant symbolism, secrets, mystery, and so much more. It gave the whole story this eerie, almost dreamlike quality that I absolutely ate up.

“I want to know you, Iris. As much as you’ll let me. As long as you’ll let me.”

And the warnings??? The mystery??? The what exactly are you? of it all???

“I have waited a long time for a Galloway to knock on this door.”

Especially later when he follows it up with:

“The version of me you fall asleep next to won’t be the version you wake up to. Do you understand?”

Sooooo….Pick up the damn book and let him in.

As for the editions pictured here: I have the mass market paperback from the amazing @risereadrepeat and the paperback, and you KNOW the hardcover is on its way 😩

In the middle is this special pamphlet gifted to me by Karina that @shadowofpunkreads and I have shared custody over. 🙂‍↕️ It has the most beautiful images and collages representing the book.

And the ink artwork you see is my own! I made it during a linocut workshop I did a while back, and I thought it was the perfect addition to this little Bonetide collection. 🌊
