Took me way too long to finally get to @rosy.restaurant, but man, I loved it. Amazing atmosphere. Tremendous service. And always very cool to see @riverrootsbarrelco on the menu. Truly honored. Then there’s the 10 at 10. Only 10 burgers, made at 10pm. Stupid good. Potentially better than the Cordelia Box Burger??? 👀 Honestly, they’re totally different birds, but that Rosy burger is absolutely in the conversation. Hell of a night. Even though I own whiskey brand, it doesn't mean I still can't be a general consumer and appreciate/support others who find great barrels. This one from @hartfieldandco is special. It has this blueberry note on the palate that is both delicious and incredibly unique. I seriously can’t get enough of it. Great whiskey is great whiskey, no matter whose name is on the bottle. Cheers to the people at Hartfield & Co. for finding a beauty. 🥃 I would love to meet up sometime and just nerd out on whiskey. 🙏 taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @bourbon_buddy

Triple Oak Bourbon. An experiment by design. This release started as three individual 11-year Kentucky bourbon barrels, each taken on a different path before being brought back together. Two barrels were further aged in 20-year light whiskey barrels. The third rested in a 13-year Kentucky bourbon barrel. Those light whiskey barrels had a huge influence. They concentrated the whiskey, intensified the structure, and pushed the proof up nearly 10 points but in my opinion lost some balance. After that secondary aging, all three barrels were unified and finished in 8-year wheated bourbon barrels. That final step was intentional. The wheated barrels were used to soften the edges, add sweetness, and round out what was becoming a powerful, oak-driven profile. The result is a whiskey that shows its layers clearly. Palate: sweet upfront with candied peanuts and tropical fruit Mid-palate: richness builds as the oak begins to assert itself Back palate: classic triple-oak structure with depth and grip Finish: long, dry, and lingering for days This was an experimental oaking process, not meant to chase trends, but to explore how extended oak influence and barrel selection can reshape a mature bourbon.
