Been a minute...

Bourbon Review.
@buffalotrace

This is BT single barrel number 1 for @harryswine which they chose from multiple barrels.

Nose Sweet corn, vanilla, hints of almond, mild ethanol/cherry hiding under it

Palate Almond, grain (corny), green apple (like the suckers)

Finish sweet/corny, mild oak (tannins), popcorn

-Mash Bill unknown% Corn, 10% Rye, unknown% Barley

Overall a good low proof pick from Sazerac picked through Harrys.

Thank you to the Harrys crew as always for allow me to ge tone fo these! Cheers! I Heard OHLQ did a few of these as well as restaurants in Ohio but Never got a chance at once so lucky to have a store who takes care of those who support them!

Bourbon Review.
@pinhook_bourbon

This is third in a vertical series by @harryswine who is known for their phenomenal barrels and palates!

Purchased through Harry's and picked up in person, 6 year coming in at 114.8 Proof

Nose Vanilla ( coming theough with graham cracker type note) followed by light layers of oak hints of confectioners sugar.

Palate tree fruits (think apples), malty sweetness, grain

Finish sweet, buttery mild cherry cordial on the END

-Mash Bill 75% Corn, 20.5% Rye, 4.5% Malted Barley

I won't pretend to have a palate like the gentlemen at Harrrys but....What a change from 5 to 6 years. Another steller pick from Harrys. Be on the look out for more picks from Harry's they always kill it!

Cant wait to try the 7 year this one leaves you wanting to come back for more! Cheers!

Bourbon Review.
@greenriverdistillingco Bourbon

Green River Distilling company might be a new name to many in the whiskey community but its roots run deep. DSP KY-10 was originally founded in 1885. Most recently known as O.Z. Tyler but today he Green River name has now been reborn.

Purchased at Liquor barn for $35 NAS 90 Proof

Nose Vanilla, Buttered sweet corn, char, hints of grain.

Palate Mild Sweetness, oak, sassafras (like root beer)

Finish leather, tannins, heat rolls.into back of palate

-Mash Bill 70% Corn, 21% Rye, 9% Malted Barley

What a Nose on this! And what a unique bottle!

Cant wait to see how they progress! Cheers!

Wow.

As a man of often too many words I find it hard to describe the great weekend Samantha and I were so blessed to have.

Getting to hang with my brother and sister in law In NJ and the pups, followed by hanging with great friends in CT, finishing off with getting to taste handmade chocolate, talk bourbon, and to help pick a Blantons as well as a Weller barrel.

I am so blessed. Thank you for all the knowledge and love that was passed to me by so many great friends and my beautiful wife 🙏🙏
