In Loving Memory of Gordon Bowe 🇧🇸

To honor Gordy’s life, his love of the ocean, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him, family and friends are invited to join us for a Paddle Out (A Waterman’s Memorial) in his memory.

Date: Saturday, July 18
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Seagate Beach, Naples, Florida

Those who have a surfboard, paddleboard, kayak, or other suitable board are warmly invited to join us in the water for the paddle out. Those who do not have a board are encouraged to gather on the shoreline, where we will stand together in remembrance and pay tribute to Gordon’s life.

Your presence, whether on the water or on the sand, will mean so much as we come together to celebrate his memory, share our love, and say our final farewell.

Rest 🙏🏽 in Peace to the Greatest man I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing 🇧🇸

I’m so lucky to have had you as my dad.

I’m honestly at a loss for words on how genuine, wholehearted & kind he was to everyone that had the pleasure to know him.

He was such a complex guy- Judo champion, acupuncturist, decorative painter, fine art enthusiast, meditation expert, yogi & the list goes on.

This man used to pull me out of school when the wind was good so I could train because he saw the spark in my eye & the passion I had for the sport. The only reason I went pro was because of you.

You’ve helped my navigate this world with my head held up high & even when I made drastic mistakes you stood by my side and help my stay positive through it all.

You are truly missed & it just won’t be the same without you.

For those who don’t know — 15 weeks ago Gordon went into the hospital with abdominal pain & quickly found out he had 4 liver cancer. Exactly 115 days later he passed quietly in his sleep on Sunday Morning ofJuly 5th. But boy… let me you, every one those 115 days was a battle. Each presenting a new challenge to overcome. And he refused to stop fighting until the very end.

I’m very thankful I got to spend those last few years with you enjoying moment while it lasted.

“She started the first Yoga Center in Jamaica” 🇯🇲

That was and will always be the first thing I say about my Grandma Rocky.

The struggles she endured over the years and bullshit she had to go through, just so we could be safe and joyful as a family has truly been a blessing.

I often think….How lucky was I to have been able to spend my summers at an ashram in the Caribbean 🧘🏽‍♂️🌴

Even though I’m Bahamian 🇧🇸 I’ve spent more of my life in Jamaica & have so many wonderful memories of that place with her. Occasionally I’ll get hit with a special smell that will take my straight back to that lush jungle garden 🌸

Growing up she constantly would say “remember your breath!” & even though I would never say I’m a full fledge yogi by any means- the practices and preaches of the yogi will always be instilled into me & will without a doubt always be a major part of my life. 🙏🏽🧘🏽‍♂️

It would be a giant understatement to say she was a Bad Bitch. She’s the definition of a strong independent women and truly earned the name “Rocky”

She always told me “Light Surrounds you” & now it’a my turn call that blessing onto her.

Rest in Peace Grandma

Thank you for being such an incredible impactful women in my life.
