National Dessert Day calls for something extra sweet! 🍰🧁

We’re taking a look back at the Mandarin Museum & Historical Society (@mandarinmuseum) fundraiser held at Bowing Oaks in September, where guests were treated to some seriously delicious desserts from local favorite Chef Dennis of Blue Bamboo (@bluebamboojacksonville).

And not just any cake! The evening featured Chef Dennis’ award-winning Mandarin Orange Cake, a dessert that feels especially fitting for a celebration supporting the history and heritage of Mandarin. 🍊

We love seeing local organizations and local businesses come together at Bowing Oaks, especially when the results are this sweet!

Congratulations Kayla + Xavier!!!

Rain in the forecast all week, and I had one shot in mind that I couldn’t stop envisioning. ☔️✨ And yesterday at Kayla and Xavier’s wedding at Bowing Oaks, I finally got to bring it to life.

Who says the wedding cake has to be the only star of the dessert table? 🍰🤍

We love when couples get creative with their reception details, and this sweet setup is a perfect example!

Instead of a traditional dessert table, this couple rented beautiful arched display shelves to showcase an assortment of bite-sized treats. Their petite wedding cake took center stage in front, surrounded by candlelight and a pretty patterned linen that tied everything together.

The result? A dessert display that was both beautiful and functional, giving guests plenty of tempting options while creating a gorgeous focal point in the reception space.
