* *This will ruffle some feathers but I'm seriously wondering**

Ok I love my highschool and all but when I went there and used to look at the wall and I saw the uniforms of the past (maybe I was a little woke for a kid in highschool) I NEVER liked that ! The colors and the confederate flag imagery directly represented the civil war. I really didn't like it because at the time when I started going there it was switching over from that sort of school to lean on me high. I also went to Dowling and they were also named after a leader in the Confederate army and our mascot was a Texan and I'm happy they changed the name and mascot as well.

Why are y'all against the change when they basically did it for us (to be more culturally sensitive)? 🤔

Yes we were considered rebels when we went there but why not embrace the change especially when you're no longer there I'm just asking ? by @bowlegged_queen
