I was stoked when one of my first St Louis clients hit me up for a matching tattoo with her fella. They chose a rose intertwined with a daisy above their heart.
It was his first tattoo, but he did great!
Thanks for looking!

A crucial part of learning this trade is tattooing yourself. Before your buddies, before strangers, it’s you under the needle.
This was where I started. This was done at Addicted To Ink in Deland, FL, maybe 2002? I barely made it out of the outline before I stopped because it hurt so bad. @mr.nobodytattoos and @staci_black_tattoos were in attendance at the time.
I didn’t finish that apprenticeship because I wanted to move back to Vermont to be in a hardcore band. While I had a blast in the band, I’ve always regretted that decision. For years, I’ve looked at this outline and it reminded me of things I’ve started but never saw all the way through.

Well, today I said no more and bumped some new life into it. I tried to follow the same misshapen outline I originally laid out. I really hope that younger Bowser is somewhat proud of where we are today. Still striving to be better, still trying to live life on my own terms. The struggle is real, but so is the resolve. by @bowser_tattoos
