If an employee’s output drops, firing them immediately is the lazy move.

Most performance drops aren’t about skill.

They’re about standards drifting, expectations getting fuzzy, incentives misaligned, or something pulling their attention elsewhere.

Good leaders don’t ghost people at the first dip.

They step in early, reset the bar, and see if the person can rise to it.

Because once you’ve trained someone, built rhythm with them, and put them in the system, walking away without a check is just wasted effort.

• Call it out early.
• Raise the bar.
• Fix it if it’s fixable.

Anyone can replace people.

Leaders know when to rebuild them first. by @bowsky

👀 Your best employees will resent your worst employees.

Your worst employees will resent your best employees.

Not because of personality.
Because standards are missing.

High performers feel punished when low effort is tolerated.

Low performers feel exposed when excellence is the expectation.

Culture is built on what you allow, not what you say.

Raise the bar or expect friction forever. by @bowsky

Great employees aren’t hired, they’re built.

Give them the at bats, let them get reps in.

If they fall short, don’t blame them, coach them.

You don’t build a great business by hoping people figure it out.

Their growth AND SUCCESS is up to you, and it’s your job.

Build your people and they’ll build your business. by @bowsky

Your competitors don’t have to be your enemy.

Instead, watch them and get free lessons.

Trashing them keeps you where you are.

Worshipping them keeps you beneath them.

Studying them makes you better.

Find who’s ahead of you, study them, take what could work for you, then build it into what you already do well.

That’s how you build a better business, a happier team, and happier clients. by @bowsky

The best leaders in business and in life are the ones who have mastered hard conversations.

Avoiding conflict doesn’t protect a relationship, it kills it.

And that’s true with your partner, your team, and your family.

Talk about the hard stuff, don’t let it fester, set boundaries.

Work through it together, because nobody looks back and wishes they avoided more conversations. by @bowsky

You’re not saving money by doing it all yourself.

You’re just capping your income.

Paying someone seems expensive short term but usually, staying where you are costs more in the long run.

The hire you’re scared to make is often the one that frees you up to double your revenue.

Don’t look for another you, hire for one thing you do well, then do it again for the next skill set.

Replace yourself piece by piece and focus on building the business. by @bowsky

The fastest way to wreck a team is often promoting your favorite person.

Likable doesn’t equal capable, loyal doesn’t mean deserving and friendly doesn’t mean they can lead.

Look at the work, not the person.
Then get a second opinion.
Make the call like an outsider would, with a Birds-Eye view, not based on your feelings.

When you own the business, nobody tells you you’re wrong, so you have to build a system that does.

Being the best can be a trap.

You’re too valuable to move and too comfortable to ask - but also, too good to be challenged.

Nobody in business promotes the person who stays quiet.

Ask for the next role, show why you deserve it and be willing to leave if they won’t give it to you.

That’s how you win in the working world.

Your employees aren’t entrepreneurs.

Stop expecting them to be.

Your standard is built on what you’re capable of - theirs should be built on what they’re capable of.

Mix those up and everyone loses.

Set the bar for them.

Hold them to it, then raise it as they grow to increase the standard you’ve set.

High standards work when they’re the right standards. by @bowsky

Working hard isn’t rare.

Taking initiative is.

Most people will do the job if you tell them exactly what to do.

Very few have the mindset to go above and beyond.

Day one feels like nothing and day three feels pointless.

That’s exactly where most people quit and say they can’t do it

Start, fail, pivot, start again

Eventually, starting becomes winning by @bowsky
