Join our next Artist Talk with
Tim Berresheim & Marcus Boxler
Saturday 24 October 12 - 1pm

On the occasion of his current solo exhibition „Oddkin. Der Lurlei“ at Parri Blank, @timberresheim will be in conversation with curator and cultural journalist @boxlerer

Please RSVP via DM here or email: info@parriblank.com

Tim Berresheim (b. 1975, Heinsberg, Germany) is a leading figure in contemporary image-making. For over two decades, he has developed a distinctive visual language that combines digital technologies such as 3D modeling, custom sortware, and augmented reality with traditional forms of painting, drawing, and printmaking.

His work explores how technology shapes perception and pictorial space, while engaging with tundamental questions of perspective, materiality, and representation. Berresheim’s works are held in collections including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Staatliche Museen zu Berlin; Kunstmuseum Stuttgart; Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf; and the Federal Republic of Germany’s art collection.

Marcus Boxler is a curator, writer, and cultural mediator. His work combines curatorial practice with experience in cultural journalism and art mediation. As Director of Schlossgut Schwante Sculpture Park, he is closely involved in the development and presentation of contemporary art in the public realm.

Boxler also writes as a freelance author for art and culture magazines such as Monopol and Numéro Berlin, and hosts the podcast Die Feine Art. Through these different roles, he works at the intersection of institutions, the art market, and the public, engaging with current positions and questions in contemporary art. by @boxlerer

organized by Daniel Hengst (mkv) and Theresa Schubert (mkv), with Regine Rapp
moderated by Marcus Boxler (mkv)

How can artistic practices reshape our relationships with technology, materiality and more-than-human environments? 🌱🔬 Artists and mkv members Theresa Schubert and Daniel Hengst, together with art historian Regine Rapp (ArtLaboratory Berlin), explore ecological approaches that challenge established ideas of control, efficiency and human agency.

Here, art is not simply a representation of ecological crises, but an experimental field for developing new forms of coexistence, interdependence and ecological imagination. Regine Rapp expands these perspectives in her lecture „Situated Ecologies: Hybrid Art and the More-than-Human“.

Come think with us about living systems and new ways of being together! 💛💜

Arbeiterkinder, migrantische Wurzeln, you name it.

Empathic Field is a site-specific live audiovisual performance that explores observation as an act of empathy. Live camera, microphone and environmental inputs translate movement, sound and presence into ever-evolving responses, while autonomous streams of image and sound turn the architecture into a responsive, living body.

How can intimacy emerge through attentive observation, autonomy and respectful distance? The performance proposes observation not as control, but as a form of attention that changes the observer too.

The exhibition runs 15–31 October at feldfünf.
