Took me 9 years, but I’m finally starting cosmetology school today!!!

After moving to Japan, finding a passion for animals and becoming a certified veterinary assistant, and now another move- it’s now or never!

Finally received my infusion after being 4 months delayed due to moving AND possible hep b resistance. 😅

This clinic is WAY smaller, so hubby had to leave me at the hospital due to how small it is. 🥺 Thank creator it wasn’t my first time, because I would have bawled. 😅

Day two post infusion and I feel awful- I tried to fight not napping but my body ultimately won that battle. It’s truly days like this that I wonder what it’s like to live like a normal person (someone without a chronic illness and toxic productivity). I know I’m not the only one out there, but people like me feel so far away. Such is life, though!

Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Day

I’m still learning to advocate for myself on a daily basis- I feel ashamed of feeling how I do when I look fine because of the “you look fine to me!” Comments I would get before my diagnosis and even after. It’s embarrassing to have to look at your friends, coworkers etc and say “I can’t” when you so badly want to. No one gaslights me more than myself, and I hate to admit that.

The infusions we have to get do NOT make us feel better either. It only *slows down the progression of the disease*, making you feel like you have the flu for a week afterwards- at least in my case. But my ongoing treatment has left me in remission for about two years, so I cannot complain!

MS makes life hard, but I am fighting back harder. Living life several medications at a time. 😂
