‘Rick Kain’ here just had his first taste of salt water. A few glassy knee-high runners this morning, not unlike the waves he grew up surfing back home in Bristol. Like his namesake, Rick had quite a journey getting from pool to sea… raw dogged it on planes, boats, buses, trains and bikes like a champ, ignoring all the funny looks through London and Athens. (You can tell from all the surfboard anthropomorphising I’m not used to surfing on my own just yet)
