Fashion Film for @timisolashasanya SS27

Live from Piazza Croce Rossa, Montenapoleone metro station, Milan.

Filmed in Nigeria, CRESCENT moves through the grounds of Shasanya’s grandfather’s estate in Lagos. The boys wander through the house and its gardens, lingering in spaces they once remember. Drawn towards details that seem familiar yet distant.

The house becomes a place between worlds. Its architecture, fragments and empty spaces hold memories of another time, while the movement through them speaks to the experience of growing up between cultures. What is inherited and what is made elsewhere?

Through the sound, a conversation about duality is brought. Density and restraint highlight colliding worlds. Nollywood sound and the pulse of London sits alongside Kelman Duran’s score.

Through wandering, and waiting, CRESCENT reflects on the spaces we carry with us, and the memories that remain in the details of a place long after we have left it.

For this, we experimented with the Sony Fx3 paired with the Canon Sumire Cine primes

One moment. One frame. One unexpected destination.

Recently, I strolled down to @freedomparklagos with my camera, spotted @goneinsano , we decided to take some pictures while he did what he does best. I took the shot, sent it in, and somehow that frame found its way onto CNN, and boom my first credit as a cnnafrica contributor and freelance photojournalist for a documentary series.

A reminder that sometimes, you just need to show up, trust your eyes, and take the shot.

A SUNDAY SERVICE.

I grew up as a Christian.

Not necessarily because I chose to be one, or because I had experienced some profound personal spiritual encounter, but simply because mummy dragged us to church every Sunday.

And I know so many of us can relate to this.

At what point does attending church because of our parents make us Christians? Is that enough? Or does faith require something more personal—a change of perspective, conviction, or perhaps a genuine spiritual encounter?

And for those of us who have had that experience once or twice, was it strong enough to keep us from backsliding?

Because the truth is, some of us have had those encounters. We have felt something. We have believed deeply, even if only for a moment.

But here we are.

These are some of the questions that have stayed with me.

So, early last year, I brought together a team of like-minded creatives, and together, we made a short experimental film exploring some of these thoughts and questions.

This was a completely zero-budget project. Nobody was paid; apart from welfare, everyone volunteered their time, energy and talent because they believed in the idea.

The goal of this film is not simply to make people laugh or entertain them.

The goal is to start a conversation.

A conversation about faith, upbringing, belief, doubt, spiritual experiences, backsliding, and the questions many of us have but sometimes do not feel comfortable asking.

Ok, Hear me out, this is not the latest 007 movie or some stills from a sci-fi, Some weeks ago, I joined the media team of THE QUEEN OF DENMARK , to document her visitation to Nigeria, that wasn’t my first time working with VIPs, but it was different.

With passion and Cinematically I did this, I shot, edited and graded some master pieces, put some stills grab for y’all to see.
