Hey, it’s me:) Today is another year around the sun for me. I’ve tried not to make a big deal about it in the past but lately I’ve been feeling differently about my birthday. I’m so grateful for the wishes.

There’s something special about walking into a room full of strangers and leaving with your heart full.

Jon & Kim! Congrats on 4 years together 💕 thank you for welcoming me into your world with such open arms. I stepped in as a fill-in photographer, but I left feeling like I’d seen something rare. The way Jon looked at Kim all day, like she was the PRIZE he’d won always gets me. And Kim, your style, your grace, your eye for every beautiful detail, it was such a joy to capture.

This wedding was chic, intentional, and so much fun in the end. The first few frames I think are pure elegance, the light, the textures and the way they look at each other. But my favorite part was the end, after all the promises are made and the cake is eaten and you see their entire family laughing, dancing, and having the absolute time of their lives together.

Thank you for letting me document this beautiful chapter. Even as a newcomer, I felt the love.

These pictures are from eight years ago. I got my first full frame camera, and I couldn’t even believe that I could capture this amount of detail. So much of my life has been filled with my fear of the future, then delight at how tender the future (now present) can be with me. Everything has its own glory and its own moment.

There’s a particular kind of magic in our sprint toward something that we really care about. The hands move faster than the eye expects. The beauty of the flow state. We realize in that moment that our bodies remember everything we’ve memorized.

This is what it looks like when someone has been showing up long before anyone was watching. The Tony is just a trophy. The real win is how we carry ourselves into the room. The best performances are the ones where we deliver anyway, even when it’s harder to do than usual.
