The Porsche 924 is the realization of my very own dream. It’s the chance to feel the true essence of a completely mechanical heart, to embrace the joy of learning how to care for it (knowing full well it will have its quirks) and to be part of that small but growing percentage of women who share this passion.

The Porsche 924 isn’t an expensive car; in fact, it costs less than a new Fiat Panda. It’s not the most powerful Porsche, and it certainly stirs up mixed opinions.
But for me, she’s perfect!! It’s the ideal entry point into the world of classic cars for someone young and slightly inexperienced like me. And, honestly, it’s perfect for so many personal reasons. Those headlights…👁️👁️

I can’t wait to take it on a road trip with old and new friends who will join this small but somehow vast world of classics ;) by @bozwi

Hi, this is me and Gina Jr and today is my one year anniversary with New York.
Lemme tell ya, it wasn’t an easy relationship, but here’s my biggest takeaway:

New York has the duality of iron: it hardens you, but it also polishes you.

It teaches you to stand your ground, take up space, and stay firm without losing your kindness. As a matter of fact, iron can take a beating, carry weight, build entire skylines. And when polished, it shines.

That’s what New York does to you. It pushes you to believe in yourself, because here you either learn to swim or you drown (and to be fair, I did get very close to drowning).

Most importantly, beneath all the noise and crowd, if you dig deep enough you find your very own gems. I’ve learned so much from the people I met here, I received so much love and empowerment. Thank you for forging me.

Thank you, New York, for challenging me, shaping me, and forcing me to understand who I am. I know myself so much better now than I did when I first got here.

So far so good! Va tutto bene :) by @bozwi

Perhaps the film caught the morning dew on the grass that soaked my socks. The feeling of waking up in a trailer with two horses outside instead of guard dogs. The smell of leather saddles and boots, the softness of a horse’s coat. The energy of the arena during the shows. Perhaps you can hear the crowd shouting and cheering, perhaps you can almost smell the sun-warmed grass on a hot August day :) by @bozwi

I met Stephanie in Texas about 6 months ago. I rode at her farm and she told me stories about weeks-long trail rides, camping with her horses across multiple states, and a whole life in the horse world. That same day, she invited me to the Austin Rodeo and showed me her world. I loved it.

Six months later, I knew calling her would give me great advice for my next adventure. The stars aligned: she was about to drive from Austin to Clinton, Arkansas, to camp in her horse trailer and take part in the Chuckwagon Races. She invited me along and said she’d bring one of her horses for me. I had no idea what to expect, but I trusted she wouldn’t disappoint.

On August 28, she picked me up at the airport in Little Rock with her trailer and two horses (have you ever been picked up by two horses!?). In Clinton, I found about 10k people camped with their horses for a crazy week of riding and activities. True Western riders, generational ranch owners, wagon racers and bull riders. Thick Southern accents, plenty of mustaches, and thousands of stunning Quarter Horses and mules.

I’m pretty sure I was one of very few Italian girls to ever end up there, and people seemed equally surprised to see me. I felt like an alien, in the best possible way.

I learned how to sidepass a horse (I call it drifting on a horse), swing a lasso, understand how mule wagons are driven, and run with cattle.

But mostly, I learned how these cowboys live, speak, and move. Kids grow up on horses, ride bareback, pile up onto the same horse, rope better than adults, and fearlessly ride bulls. They’re built different.

Sometimes people don’t understand my travel choices. But this is exactly what I look for, to be pulled into a culture and experience I can really learn from. There’s no other way but putting yourself out there and risking a little

This year the Porsche Museum is celebrating 50 years of the transaxle with a series of events themed ‘Forever Young. Celebrating Transaxle’. The focus is on the spirit of the 1980s and on the interplay of technology, design and motorsport that defined this era.

We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with Virginia’s 1980 924, Uma.

“When I started looking for my first classic car, the Porsche 924 stole my heart with its almost-human eyes and unmistakably German spirit.

Was it one of the most accessible Porsches on the market? Absolutely. But it was also its history that fascinated me, securing its place as a pillar in the history of the Stuttgart marque.

A sharp silhouette that has always reminded me of a bullet, iconic pop-up headlights, and the transaxle layout that gives it near-perfect balance and makes it surprisingly fun through the corners.

That’s why I chose Uma, my 1980 924.

It isn’t particularly fast and often decides to test my patience, reminding me that classic cars do come with plenty of personality, but it never fails to make me smile.

Together we tackle the roads of Tuscany, squeeze far too many people into those tiny back seats, and head off to the horse stables. Somehow, it makes everything feel a little more romantic”
