WATCH THEM GROW RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES // 🦋✨

That first class, climbing the little wooden frame in a caterpillar costume, unsure where to stand, watching everyone else to figure it out. Every dance parent knows that stage.

And then somehow you blink and they're out on that stage in matching pink and blue, hitting every move with the kind of confidence that makes you want to cry a little bit.

This is why we do what we do. Not the perfect technique, not the perfect lines, just watching these kids find their courage one class at a time.

If your little one is just starting out, know that this is where it leads. The wobbly first steps turn into this.

CAN I DANCE IN THIS? // 🎃🩰

Halloween costumes are the best part of this time of year and we are HERE for it. The creativity, the spooky looks, the glitter capes, the tiny superheroes running around the studio, bring all of it.

But before costume day, run it through one quick test: can they actually move in it?

Can they jump? Turn? Stretch? Sit down on the floor without a struggle? If the answer is no, it might need a small rethink before class.

A few things to check:
Footwear still needs to be class appropriate. Costumes don't replace proper shoes for safety on the floor.

Watch for trip hazards like long capes, oversized masks, or loose pieces dragging near their feet.
Bulky props are cute for photos but if they can't comfortably move around the studio with it, leave it at home.

The golden rule here is simple: if they can dance in it, we love it. So go make that costume amazing, just make sure your dancer can still bust a move in it.

THE FIRST THING THEY LEARN // 🌟🩰

It's not a plié. It's not pointing a toe on the star.

The first thing a child learns at dance is how it feels to be here. Safe hands to hold. A teacher who gets down on their level. A room that feels like it's cheering for them before they've even started.

That's the bit we protect the most. Because once a little one feels comfortable, everything else, the steps, the confidence, the coordination, comes so much easier.

Butterfly wings on, hands held, first wobbly steps taken. This is what Ready Set Dance is all about.

IF OUR LITTLE DANCERS COULD LEAVE GOOGLE REVIEWS // ⭐🦸‍♀️

We asked our superheroes to rate their time at dance class. Here's what we got back.

Five stars for dancing with a best friend. Five stars for a teacher who knew their name and made them feel famous. Five stars for point blank refusing to go home when mum called time.

And our personal favourite, five stars for getting up in front of everyone, feeling nervous, then loving every second of it.

This is what we mean when we say effort over perfection. It's not about who nailed the routine. It's about the confidence that comes from showing up, the friendships made in capes and tutus, and the pure joy of being seen and celebrated for trying.

Big confidence. New skills. New friendships. So many happy dance memories, one wobbly turn at a time.

YOU WANT TO BE ON THAT STAGE? // 🎭✨💫

Watch this back and tell us it doesn't give you butterflies. Every dancer up there started exactly where you are right now, unsure, a bit nervous, wondering if they're "good enough" to try.

Spoiler: you don't need to be good enough. You just need to start.

This is what Term 4 is building towards. The lights, the costumes, the music hitting right, the feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself. It's closer than you think.
