Exactly one month ago, May 11, 2026, I had surgery on my left shoulder labrum. The expectation was that I wouldn’t be able to play baseball or participate in physical activity for 4–7 months. I had also made peace with the idea that my competitive baseball career was over.

After tearing my labrum last summer, transferring colleges twice, and not starting a game in nearly a year, I believed God was leading me into a new chapter through coaching. Today, exactly one month after surgery, my boy Kailen prayed over my shoulder twice. Literally right after, my range of motion increased and my pain disappeared.

A few hours later, I was told I’d be starting my first baseball game since July 28, 2025. I stepped onto the field pain free and felt God’s presence every step of the way. Praise the Lord for His healing, His faithfulness, and for giving me one more opportunity to play the game I love.

Thank you to Matt, Joe, Kailen, and everyone at 4:12 Sports Ministry for believing in me and allowing me to be part of this incredible program.

This first season of coaching baseball has been so much more than coaching a game, it’s been a reminder of how faithful God is.

When this opportunity came, I had no idea how much it would change me. I thought I was stepping in to teach the game, but God used this summer to teach me about patience, humility, leadership, and what it truly means to serve others. Every practice, every game, every conversation was another opportunity to point these kids toward something bigger than the game of baseball.

My prayer has always been that they remember who they are more than the wins and losses. I pray that they know I believed in every single one of my guys, I had confidence in their abilities, and that they are loved by myself but more importantly by God. If I was able to make even the smallest impact on just one player’s life, then this summer was worth every second.

I’m beyond grateful and appreciative to the families who trusted me, to these kids to listen and respect me, and most of all for God for opening this door.

I look forward to see what God has planned for me in this journey of coaching the game I love.

Dear Baseball,

Thank you Jesus, for blessing me with a life centered around a game I love so deeply. 11 years ago, I stepped between those lines with no idea how much my life was about to change. What started as playing catch with my grandpa and games with neighborhood friends grew into something that shaped who I am.

This game gave me more than I could have ever imagined with lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and a purpose. I’m incredibly grateful for every program and community I had the honor of wearing across my chest. 10u Monroeville in-house where it all started, Team All American, Gateway High School, AAABA O’s, Chatham University, 4:12 Warriors, Westmoreland County Community College, and ending at Mansfield University, thank you.

To every coach who believed in me and gave me a chance, thank you. To every teammate I shared the field with, thank you for the brotherhood, the battles, and the memories. Being welcomed everywhere I went is something I’ll never take for granted.

To my family where baseball has run through my blood, thank you for everything. The countless hours in the car, early mornings and late nights, all of the sacrifices, and unwavering support made this journey possible.

Never did I think my career would be cut short or how it ended but I’m forever so grateful for the experiences, the growth, and the success I was blessed with along the way. I hope I made you proud pap and smokey… Praise Jesus through all the struggles and successes. I lean onto Jesus, not baseball.

With all that being said, #25 and #1 are signing off.

Thank you Jesus…

This retreat has been a blessing. I have never felt so close and near to God. From giving my life to Jesus on 3/7/2024 to praying over my brothers and the food we ate for the first time, to sharing my testimony, to worshiping and praying for 3 hours nonstop. As I was reading the book of Isaiah, the wind blew back a couple of pages to Isaiah 37 and I read it and never felt so connected with Jesus. Then @mattdavis4596 directed me to Isaiah 6:1-7 that resonated with me so well for what I’ve been praying for. I got visual and spiritual confirmation that Jesus is real and is with me, I wept… Thank you for @4twelve_sports_ministries for the amazing opportunity to really connect with my father. Thank you to all my brothers who were by my side as I was baptized and brought new life as my journey continues to be a servant of Jesus.

I really hope this post reaches atleast one person that Jesus has been knocking at your heart and you say “I’m ready to give my life to you.” From first hand, it has been the BEST decision I have ever made. God is so good.

I’m so blessed and grateful to announce my commitment to Mansfield University. Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career at the higher level.
