Day three of back to school, and today I’m covering our sons, my marriage, my home, this month, and the remainder of this year in prayer. 🙏🏽🤍

Father God, please place a hedge of protection around our sons as they enter their schools, classrooms, and activities. Cover their minds, bodies, hearts, and spirits. Protect them from danger, harm, sickness, bullying, negative influences, and anything that would distract them from who You created them to be. Give them wisdom, confidence, discernment, favor, and peace.

Lord, cover my marriage. Strengthen the bond between my husband and me, guard our hearts, and help us remain united through every challenge. I denounce and renounce every ungodly soul tie, unhealthy attachment, and influence operating against my life, my husband’s life, our children, and our home.

Today, we put on the full armor of God. Clear my head, calm my mind, and replace every feeling of fear, confusion, and heaviness with Your peace. Provide for every need and order our steps throughout this month and the remainder of this year.

Give us discernment to recognize anything or anyone that does not mean us well. Protect our family from every plan intended to steal our peace, kill our joy, or destroy what You are building. Let no weapon formed against us prosper.

Our children, marriage, home, and future belong to You. Cover us, keep us, and lead us safely through this season.

In the mighty name of Jesus, amen. 🛡️🙏🏽🤍 by @bracheyjohnson

I never thought in a million years at 40 years of age I would be creating this post, but the time has come for me to publicly acknowledge the passing of my beloved Mother.

Mama Bear, a week ago today you peacefully left this earth.

The last months with you were full of love, tears, pain, joy, and sorrow. I am so grateful I got to be with you, pray with you, care for you, and share moments I will cherish forever. You taught me the depth of unconditional love and now I finally understand what that truly means.

Thank you for encouraging me to keep Bria when others said I shouldn’t, just as you were told about me. You broke cycles of dysfunction, abuse, and bondage, and your sacrifices will bless generations.

Thank you for being an amazing grandmother, for teaching us to put God first, to live with gratitude, humility, and respect, and to love generously.

I wasn’t just your daughter; I was your intercessor. I got to pray with you, cover you, and stand in the gap for you. You asked me to do my part, and I pray I did it well.

I offered the prayer of salvation to you as a rededication back to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, and you accepted. You asked me for a hug, and I held you tight as we promised to always have each other’s back. You told me I should be proud of myself. Something that was very important for me to hear in the last weeks leading up to your departure.

I’m grateful I got to show you my unconditional love and let you know I was proud of you too. Proud of your fight, perseverance, love, forgiveness, sacrifices, and generosity.

Mama Bear, we won’t get to plan Keith and I’s vow renewal, but in Heaven there will be an eternal celebration of love, joy, peace, and happiness. You can now be reunited with your Mom and Dad and all who went before you in Heaven. Rest in eternal peace knowing it is finished. I love you so much, Mama Bear.

Forever your babygirl, Brachey Akia 🐻🤞🏾🤍 by @bracheyjohnson

A God ordained moment. 🙇🏽‍♀️

Today, my husband and I had the pleasure of speaking with 5th, 7th, and 8th graders at @baltimoreinternationalacademy. We shared our experiences as young adults navigating life, ultimately becoming successful business owners while raising a family.

Although our upbringing and experiences were not traditional, I truly believe in my heart that God ordained this moment. I’m so grateful for all that He has done and all that He will continue to do through both of us.

This is your reminder that God is always redeeming time, and nothing we do for Him will ever be in vain. Even our mistakes…
He uses them for His glory.

So, to God be the glory today.
To God be the glory in our marriage.
To God be the glory in our union.
To God be the glory in our businesses.

May God continue to bless us and keep us.

I pray an extra hedge of protection over these children….our future, the next generation that God has ordained to make a difference in the marketplace.

Lord, we thank You for the opportunity to serve Your children.

🏈 Our boys, my pride, my little football players!

Kylo and Kash’s first year playing 6U tackle football, on the same team, has been nothing short of an incredible journey! I’m still not sure how my husband managed to pull this off, but here we are! 😂🏈

From learning the game to finding their confidence, these boys have grown so much this season.

Have there been days when they didn’t want to practice or play? Absolutely! And we’re even considering flag football next year. But one thing I know for sure is that they started something new, they kept showing up, and they’ve come so far.

Being undefeated in their division is an amazing accomplishment, but as their mama, that’s not what makes me most proud.

It’s their growth. Their determination. Their grit. Their willingness to keep going, even when it’s hard. 🩷

At just six years old, they’re learning lessons that extend far beyond the football field. And watching them grow, individually and together as brothers, has been one of the greatest blessings of this season.

I’m proud of the wins, but I’m even prouder of who they’re becoming.

No matter what next season looks like, this one will always hold a special place in my heart.

Proud football mama of #23 and #24! 🏈🩷

Get up. Get up. Get up. 💗

If you only knew how many times I’ve had to encourage myself to get up and keep going, even when I didn’t have the strength.

I’m still navigating loss. I’m still grieving. I’m still healing. But I’m also still showing up, trusting God, and giving myself grace along the way.

God has blessed me tremendously, and He has made my life beautiful. But a beautiful life doesn’t mean a life without pain.

I’ve learned that I don’t always have to be strong. I don’t have to wear a mask or pretend everything is okay.

Be vulnerable. Be transparent. Go to therapy. Find a safe community. Allow yourself to be supported, loved, and prayed for.

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay to prove you have faith.

Like Ruth, I’m learning that even through grief and uncertainty, I can keep moving forward without knowing what tomorrow holds.

My healing journey may last a lifetime, and that’s okay. I’m no longer placing unrealistic expectations on myself to have it all together.

So when I tell you to get up, I’m not telling you to ignore your pain. I’m encouraging you not to lose hope in the middle of it.

Get up after the disappointment.
Get up through the uncertainty.
Get up when you have to start over.
Get up, even if you need someone to help you stand.

Rest when you need to. Cry when you need to. Seek help when you need to.

But don’t give up on yourself or what God is still doing in your life.

📖 Ruth 2:2 | Galatians 6:9

“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

I’m still healing. I’m still growing. I’m still trusting God.

And by His grace, I’ll keep getting up.

Get up. Get up. Get up. 💗

I’m learning that I can pursue what God has placed on my heart and still give myself permission to rest. 🤍

As a stay-at-home mom and football mom of three sons, my days are full of school routines, practices, games, meals, and being present for the people I love. In the middle of it all, I’m also navigating grief and working toward a new goal—making room for what’s ahead while missing my mother along the way.

Some days, I feel hopeful and ready. Other days, I need to be still, breathe, and let God care for me, too.

Colossians 3:1–2 reminds me to seek the things above and keep my mind on Christ. When I focus on Him, I can take the next step without demanding that I figure out the whole journey.

I believe I can be present for my family, pursue my goals, grieve, heal, and rest. But I know I need Christ Jesus to strengthen me through it all. The success I’m praying for includes a heart settled in Him and the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding my heart and mind even when life feels uncertain.

So I’m learning to pray before I push, seek Him before I make another plan, and be still long enough to receive His direction.

To the mama carrying responsibilities, dreams, and grief at the same time: God sees you. Bring Him every part of it. You can move forward with faith and make room for rest.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me—and I can trust Him with the pace, the process, and the outcome. 🩷

You can pursue your goals without losing your peace. 🤍

Colossians 3:1–2 reminds us to seek the things above and set our minds on what is eternal. In this season, let your focus return to God before it settles on everything you’re trying to accomplish.

Your goals matter, but so does your soul. You don’t have to exhaust yourself trying to prove your worth, force an opportunity, or figure out every next step.

Work faithfully. Make the plan. Take the next step. But leave room for God to direct you—and give yourself permission to rest.

Faith doesn’t mean the work will always be easy. It means you don’t have to carry the weight of every outcome alone.

If you’ve been weary, let this be your reminder: you are loved before you accomplish another thing. You can bring God your hopes, your uncertainty, and your unfinished plans.

Keep your eyes above. Let Him guide your steps here below. 🩷

When God places someone on your mind, don’t let pride get in the way of reaching out to them. 🩷

It doesn’t matter how long it’s been. It doesn’t matter if you feel like you’re always the one reaching out first.

Obeying God should always be a priority. Not our feelings.

As we journey through the book of Ruth this October, Ruth’s commitment to Naomi reminds us that faithful love takes action.

In Ruth 1:16–17, she chose to remain beside Naomi through grief and uncertainty, even when she had the opportunity to walk away.

Sometimes obedience looks like sending the text, making the call, or simply saying, “You were on my heart. How are you?”

We may not know what someone is carrying, but God does. Your willingness to reach out could be an answer to their silent prayer.

Father, help us recognize Your prompting and respond with humility and love. Give us wisdom in our relationships and courage to obey You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Who has God placed on your heart today?

Follow @myfaithandwealthgroupinc and DM me your email address to join us as we navigate through the month of October.

The way this man loves me deserves a post of its own. 🤍

My husband, my safe place, my answered prayer. I’m proud to be your wife, and I’ll never stop thanking God for the life we’re building together.

But it took me years to get used to accepting that I am loved properly. Years of self-sabotage tried to take hold of what God had already ordained for my life. I had to learn to receive love without questioning whether I deserved it.

Now I am settled in the fact that I am loved beyond measure because my Heavenly Father said so. And I want this for all of us—to know we are worthy of love and allow ourselves to receive it. 💕

Proud wife of an amazing husband. It truly doesn’t get any better than this. by @bracheyjohnson

Sideline Saturdays with my husband and our boys, one of my favorite places to be. 🏈💙

Being their mom means cheering loudly, loving deeply, correcting with care, and praying over the men they’ll become. I’m grateful Keith and I get to do this together, watching each of them grow into his own personality and confidence.

Lord, guide our parenting, protect their hearts, and surround them with people who will nurture, challenge, and love them well. Keep You at the center of our family, on and off the field.

These are the days I want to remember. Muddy uniforms, full arms, and so much love. 💙 taken in Perry Hall, Maryland by @bracheyjohnson

Last Saturday, Brayden had an amazing game, and my heart was filled seeing him surrounded by family and love. I had been quietly missing members of my family. Then my niece reached out about his game and surprised us by showing up. Just spending the afternoon together meant so much. God heard my silent prayer. My mom would be so proud. 🤍

Like Ruth, I’m reminded that God can bring comfort and connection through family in seasons of grief. He is Alpha and Omega, holding every chapter of our story.

I don’t know what you’re in need of this Sunday, but God hears your silent prayers, too. He collects every tear, and the things that burden your heart matter to Him.

Don’t be afraid to tell Him what you need—family connection, sisterhood, community, finances, resources, health, or discipline. He already knows, but bring your heart to Him and seek alignment with His will.

Trust Him today, even as you wait. As Colossians 3:2 reminds us, set your mind on things above. Keep your eyes on Him. by @bracheyjohnson

Friday night lights and Saturday morning football! 🏈🐊

Brayden is 5–0 and takes the field Friday at 6:30 PM. Kylo and Kash are 4–1 and play Saturday at 10:30 AM. 🙌🏽

I decree and declare wins for BOTH teams this weekend! Lord, cover our boys and their teammates, keep them safe, and let them play with confidence, discipline, and heart. 💚

We’re so proud of how far our boys have come—the courage, the growth, and the way they keep showing up. Watching them become more confident in themselves has been such a blessing.

Let’s go, Gators! Your mommy and daddy are always cheering you on! 🏈💚 taken in Perry Hall Gators Football by @bracheyjohnson
