For one moment, the redwoods become part of a much bigger story. On October 17, The Gathering US will join โ€˜Originโ€™ โ€” a global broadcast connecting thousands of events around the world in a shared celebration of unity and planetary regeneration. From Camp Navarro, weโ€™ll be part of a moment unfolding across countries, communities and cultures: people gathering in different places, carrying different traditions and working on different parts of the same larger transition. It is a reminder that none of this work happens in isolation. What we build locally can still belong to something planetary. ๐ŸŒ โ€˜Originโ€™ Global Moment of Unity ๐ŸŒฒ Camp Navarro, California ๐Ÿ“… October 15โ€“18, 2026 ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Tickets are now on sale Be there on October 17 when our gathering connects with thousands of others around the world. Networking can introduce us. But it's community asks us to stay. Most events are very good at creating contact: new names, new conversations, new opportunities, new people to follow up with later. But community is built differently. It grows through repeated encounters, shared meals, honest conversations, contribution, trust and the feeling that your presence matters to the whole. That is one of the things The Gathering US is designed to make possible. Through Camps, shared experiences and time together in one place, people have the chance to move beyond exchanging contacts and into deeper relationship. Because meaningful collaboration rarely begins with a business card. It begins when people know each other well enough to care what happens next. ๐Ÿ“ Camp Navarro, California ๐Ÿ“… October 15โ€“18, 2026 ๐Ÿ•๏ธ 15 Camps Come for the conversations. What if the most important voice at The Gathering US isnโ€™t on a stage? It might be yours. Wisdom Councils and Collective Intelligence sessions are participant-led spaces where the agenda emerges from the room: your questions, your experience, your perspective, your wisdom. Instead of arriving to consume a pre-written programme, you step into a conversation that is shaped by the people present. Different worlds meet, assumptions get challenged, unexpected connections appear, and something wiser can emerge between us than any one person could bring alone. This is part of what makes The Gathering different: you are not just attending. You are helping create what happens. Bring the question you canโ€™t solve alone. Bring the insight others may need. Bring yourself into the room. ๐Ÿ“ Camp Navarro, California ๐Ÿ“… October 15โ€“18, 2026 ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Tickets are now on sale Join the conversation. Where we gather matters. The Gathering US 2026 will take place atย Camp Navarro, surrounded by more than 200 acres of redwood forest, river, meadows and trails in Mendocino County. For one week, this place becomes more than a venue. It becomes a temporary village. A place where conversations can continue beyond the session. Where people meet again over breakfast, on a forest trail or around a fire. Where there is enough time and space for relationships to deepen naturally. Because some of the most meaningful parts of a gathering donโ€™t happen on the programme. They happen in between. Come spend a week beneath the redwoods and discover what becomes possible when place is part of the experience. We already have extraordinary people, organizations, ideas, and resources working toward a regenerative world. What we keep getting handed is somebody else's platform to coordinate them on โ€” with somebody else's gatekeeper, and a login we don't own. Camp Synthesis is the other way. For a week in the redwoods at Camp Navarro, we build coordination the movement can actually own: living-systems infrastructure that connects funders to founders and moves knowledge to the ground it's needed on โ€” running on hardware you control, for about the cost of a sandwich a month, with no middleman between you and your own tools. You don't have to be technical. That's the whole point โ€” you don't have to ask anyone's permission. And because you can't regenerate the world while burning out the people doing the work, Camp Synthesis holds both halves: the systems that carry the mission, and the practice โ€” sound, grounding, real human care โ€” that keeps the humans whole along the way. Hosted by Shannon Dobbs and Melissa of Blossoming Lotus Sound. We're also the camp that synthesizes the rest โ€” weaving the wisdom surfacing across every other camp into something you can carry home and use. Come build the answers to: How do you own your coordination instead of renting it? How do knowledge and resources actually reach the ground โ€” at watershed scale, not press-release scale? How do communities coordinate without becoming the bureaucracy they were trying to escape? How do we do all of it without grinding down the people who care the most? Bring what you already know. Your real-world experience is the key that fits the lock. ๐Ÿ”‘ Start here:ย shannondobbs.com/gathering ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ See exactly how it's built โ€” and take it:ย shannondobbs.com/gathering/vps ๐Ÿ“ Camp Navarro, CA ยท ๐Ÿ“… October 2026 @jackson.mac.strong @nera.earth @house.of.kaizen @core.nexus @thegathering.earth #TheGathering #US2026 #Regeneration #Community #Sovereignty LivingSystems CampSynthesis by @brad.nye
Traditional conferences often fail to create lasting connections. So what's the alternative? How do we design gatherings for what happens after the event ends?โฃ โฃ I sat down with Victor Vorski of The Gathering Global for a conversation about the shift from passive audiences to active co-creation. After decades producing events, this participatory model โ€” one that values emergence over rigid programming โ€” is what pulled me in.โฃ โฃ The discussion moves between the practical and the philosophical, touching on: -Creating a "trust field" where new projects, or "idea babies," can be born.โฃ -The responsibility organisers carry to make in-person time truly meaningful, given its cost in time, money, and carbon.โฃ -Why the ancient fire circle is a powerful metaphor for the future of how we connect.โฃ -Blending deep in-person experience with technology that helps relationships and projects continue afterward.โฃ โฃ If you design events, build communities, or want to turn fleeting encounters into real collaboration, I think you'll get something out of this.โฃ โฃ Watch the full conversation on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGfTc8CWX9kโฃ โฃ #EventDesign #CommunityBuilding #Collaboration #TheGathering #FutureOfEvents by @brad.nye
