RUNNING THE LENGTH OF THE UK 🏃‍♂️

Next year I’ll be taking on my biggest running and mental challenge of my life: THE JOGLE
from John o’ Groats at the northern tip of Scotland to Land’s End in England, covering the entire length of Great Britain, one step at a time.
One island. End to end.

This isn’t just about the miles. It’s about purpose.

I’ll be running in memory of Joe, Sam, Dan and Dylan. Four names l carry with me every single day as well as on this journey. This challenge is for them and for everyone whose life has been affected by addiction or mental health struggles.

Every penny raised will go to ‘We Are With You’ a charity that provides free, confidential support to people experiencing issues with drugs, alcohol and mental health. Their work helps thousands of individuals and families each year, offering practical support, hope and the opportunity to rebuild lives.

Last night, standing side of stage at the Brighton Centre watching CMAT walk out to a full room, I had one of those rare moments where everything felt a little bit full circle. It was also my final show with @formpresents A fitting curtain call on five years.

When I first joined the team, most of my time was spent in the beautiful chaos of grassroots venues, the rooms where you’re flyering streets in the afternoon, loading in gear through narrow stairwells and watching artists play to their earliest crowds. Those spaces are the lifeblood of live music. They’re where artists find their voice, where promoters learn their craft, and where the first sparks of something bigger begin.

Over time, I’ve been incredibly lucky to watch some of those sparks grow, from those early club shows and makeshift DIY set ups at the local boozer, to stages as iconic as the Brighton Centre. Being able to support artists on that journey on the live side has been one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

Working with FORM has given me moments that once sat firmly on the bucket list. But more importantly, it’s given me the chance to work alongside an extraordinary community of promoters, agents, managers, artists, crews and venues who care deeply about what they do.

Ending this chapter on a night like that felt like a quiet but powerful closing moment, the curtain falling on five brilliant years of shows, lessons, friendships and memories.

I’m hugely grateful to the FORM team for the trust, the opportunities, and the journey.

A new venture begins this week, and I’m excited to share more about what’s ahead as it develops.

For now, just a sincere thank you to everyone who has been part of the story so far.

With race day this Saturday and the fundraising goal reached (thank you all) @willulrch came round for a quick visit to see me before my last long run of the training block for a check in and also to grab some shots of the prep 📸

I also just want to thank everyone who has put on their runner shoes and have joined me over the past 16 week block.

@alfielikesbeer - for the hill slogs and showing me some of beautiful routes along the downs. ⛰️

@toddalexanderpenfold & @prestondynamosfc lads for adapting the pre season fitness programme to help me during training this summer and constant support. Truly love my club ⚽️

@reubentodd_ - for being that guy who knocks on my door to get me out when I don’t want to run or go to the gym. Truly grateful for friends like you 🙏

For those local wanted to show support on race day, there’s an aid station at Hove park on the 57km mark of the course (aiming to pass through between 1:30pm 2pm)

This time next month I’ll be running 100km with 7200ft elevation across the South Downs way in an attempt to raise as much as possible for @macmillancancer on behalf of my friend Austin 🏃‍♂️ 🏔️
