coffee is a huge part of my life. it’s been 90% of my lifetime income, i co-founded a coffee company, and it’s largely what people know me for.

and it all started with sipping my dad’s iced coffee with 2% and toffee nut with no classic at starbucks. he just had his birthday the other day. i love my dad. thanks for starting it all for me @ronniemerrell, happy birthday pops🫶 by @braddmerrell

the beginning of Tent Maker Coffee, origin trip 1. let me give you a picture: 3 dudes, 8000 miles, 50 hours flying, 24 hours in airports, 40 hours driving, 300+ acres of coffee farms, 10 farmers, 15+ new friends, and 1 case of malaria🤙

Not to mention endless amounts of answered prayer, unbelievable provision, and unfathomable sovereignty.

a special thanks to @ucomyesuakwagala @jeremycarpenter and @morgencarpenter for making this crazy trip come to fruition.

Hey y’all! It’s been a crazy season, and I’ve got some big updates for my Uganda trip!!
- Trip date was/is now postponed to October 15-23
- Trip costs were cut because we found cheap airfare🙏🙏
- I currently have about $1200 of the necessary $2200
- My GoFundMe was unexpectedly redacted and all contributors were refunded

With all this to say, I am so thankful for the continued interest and prayers for me in this expedition!

a story from camp:

on thursday night, after everyone had left for small groups. my guys who i’ve been with since the end of their 6th grade year (they’re sophomores now🥹) gathered around for prayer. all that needs to be said is the Spirit was RISING. prayer after prayer, word after word we all began to lose composure. the Lord’s call to us?

“my Way is better.”

there was revival in our group that night. i love those guys so deeply and i know that they’ll be the heartbeat of connection pointe’s high school ministry for years to come.

the Lord reconciled my excuses for why i was unfit to serve. He miraculously healed my wayward heart that told me i was unworthy of His plans.

one word:

Praise Jesus.

camp. oh camp. this past week, i had the absolute honor of getting to serve alongside some unbelievable disciples, image bearers, sons and daughters of the King. oh how I praise Him for the revival He brought at Springhill Island: Alone at the Top.

this week i wore a lot of hats: Bradd, Jeff, Jerry, i was even a roulette wheel for a minute there. but most of all: i was blessed with the opportunity to be a witness of God’s glory within the next generation.
