Here’s Dr. @braddockchiro , a chiropractor, ranking your everyday phone habits from 0–10. 📱

And yes…

some of these might be your go-to position.

📱 Phone on your lap — 2/10

The lower your phone is, the more you have to look down to see it. That puts your head and neck in a less supported position.

📱 Hunched over — 0/10

Yeah… this one did NOT make the cut. 😂

When your head and upper body move forward, you’re spending more time in a slouched position.

📱 Phone at chest level — 8/10

Already better. You’re bringing the phone closer to you instead of constantly dropping your head toward your lap.

📱 Phone at eye level + shoulders back — 10/10

Dr. Macy’s top pick. Bringing the phone up means you don’t have to bring your head down to meet it.

But here’s the part worth remembering:

Your phone isn’t the problem. The position you stay in—and how long you stay there—is what matters.

You don’t need to hold a “perfect” posture all day either.

Change positions. Move around. Bring your phone up when you can.

Small adjustments can make your everyday phone habits more body-friendly.

Save this for the next time you catch yourself scrolling. 📌

So… what did you get? 0/10, 2/10, 8/10, or 10/10? 👀 by @braddockchiro

Sometimes it’s not how long you sit—it’s how you sit.

If you spend hours at a desk, small changes in your setup and sitting habits can make a difference in how supported and comfortable you feel throughout the workday.

Dr. Macy ranked common desk positions from 0–10 based on support, alignment, and overall positioning.

● Slouching with no back support — 2/10

It may feel comfortable in the moment, but without support, it’s easier to settle into a rounded position and place more strain on your back and neck.

● Crossing your legs under the desk — 7.5/10

Not the worst position, but staying in one position for too long can create an uneven sitting position.

● Leaning forward toward the screen — 0/10

The closer you lean toward the screen, the easier it is for your head and upper body to move forward. Over a long workday, that position can contribute to stiffness and discomfort.

Feet flat + back supported + screen at eye level — 10/10

This gives you a more supported starting position and makes it easier to maintain a neutral posture while working.

But here’s the part that matters:

There’s no single “perfect” posture to hold all day. Movement matters too.

Change positions, take regular movement breaks, and adjust your setup when something doesn’t feel right.

Which desk position do you catch yourself in most?

More simple posture and movement tips coming your way.

From a chiropractic perspective, we don’t just look at how you sleep—we look at how your position may affect your spine, neck, hips, and overall alignment for hours at a time.

Dr. Macy is ranking common sleeping positions from 0–10 based on support, alignment, and comfort.

 ● Stomach Sleeping — 0/10

Sleeping on your stomach keeps your head turned to one side for hours and may place extra stress on your neck and lower back.

● Fetal Position — 4/10

It can feel comfortable, but staying tightly curled for too long may contribute to a rounded posture and stiffness through the neck and upper back.

● Side Sleeping — 10/10 depends on your support

Your pillow height and leg position matter.
Adding a pillow between your knees can help keep your hips and spine more aligned and reduce unnecessary twisting.

● Back Sleeping — 10/10 better with support

A pillow under your knees can provide additional support and may help reduce strain through the lower back.

There isn’t one “perfect” sleeping position for everyone.

It’s about finding support and alignment that work for your body—especially if you regularly wake up feeling stiff or uncomfortable.

Now be honest: Which sleeping position do you automatically end up in every night?

You might want to remember this the next time you get into bed. taken in The Craft Chiropractic by @braddockchiro
