Year 45 and I am just learning to receive! If I’m honest, I’ve always struggled with collecting from people. I know how to give, pour, and show up for others, without any expectations. But this 45th birthday, people showed up for me so generously that I had to confront something: I am worthy of collecting too! My designers, photographers, creatives, friend and everyone who poured their time, talent, love and resources into me reminded me that receiving is also a form of grace! So this time, I didn’t say β€œOh, you shouldn’t have.” I leaned into it. I accepted it. I collectedπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ and I am deeply grateful! Perhaps this is another part of my BIG MADAM ERA ☺️...learning that I can receive with the same abundance with which I give! FORTY FINE! FORTY FIRE! FORTY-FIVE!!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ The years have been kind. The lessons have been many. God’s grace has been sufficient. And this woman? It has taken me 45 years to get here... to fully understand, embrace and bask in the honour I have earned. Not by luck. Not by accident. But by the GRACE OF GOD! Every year. Every lesson. Every triumph. Every tear. Every grace-filled moment has brought me here. And now, I enter this new 45th chapter with gratitude, confidence and a quiet understanding of my own worth. Not because I have arrived by my own strength, but because the hand of GOD has been upon my life! So, with grace in my heart, fire in my spirit and honour upon my head… Ladies and Gentlemen! I AM ENTERING MY BIG MADAM ERA!!! πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ FORTY FINE! FORTY FIRE! FORTY-FIVE!!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ The years have been kind. The lessons have been many. God’s grace has been sufficient. Some women take a completely different road and somehow build something remarkable there. @doubra.emein and her team were behind the fifth anniversary coronation celebrations of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse Ill, the Olu of Warri Kingdom that happened last week. A celebration rooted in culture, history and tradition and one that required the kind of vision and attention to detail that comes with creating moments of that scale. But this is only one chapter of her story. After years in investments and stockbroking, Doubra took a different path and established @bradeevents in 2010. Since then, what began as a vision to do events differently has grown into a company that has planned over 1,000 events across 15 cities and 2 continents. She also serves as the President of @thebusinesswomenconnect , creating spaces for women across the Niger Delta to learn and grow. Today, we’re celebrating Doubra as one of our Winning Women. For the bold turns she has taken. The rooms and moments she has brought to life. And the impact she continues to make. by @bradeevents
