Can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since I completed Leadville 100🤯

What an absolutely wild weekend. 100 miles through the mountains, filled with some of the highest highs, lowest lows, and moments I’ll never forget.

And somehow, a year later, I’m sitting here watching a whole new group of runners line up this morning to take on this crazy race put on by @leadvilleraceseries.

It’s crazy how quickly time passes. One year ago, I was the one standing at that starting line wondering what the next 100 miles would hold.

Good luck to everyone taking on Leadville today. Enjoy the highs, embrace the lows, and keep moving forward🏔️🏃‍♂️

Who you surround yourself with matters more than you probably realize.

The people closest to you are constantly influencing the way you think, the standards you accept, and the direction your life is headed.

Find people who celebrate your growth instead of feeling threatened by it. People who tell you the truth, encourage you when you’re struggling, and challenge you to become the person God created you to be.

Because the right circle won’t just change your mindset—it can change your entire future.

Mid State Mile tested me in ways I expected and in ways I never saw coming.

For 81 loops, I kept showing up to the start line every 20 minutes. Through the heat, through the night, through the highs and lows, I learned that endurance is about so much more than physical fitness.

It’s about faith.
It’s about family.
It’s about community.

I may have been the one on the course, but this effort belonged to so many people.

Megan and my girls sacrificed all weekend so I could chase this dream. Roman never stopped serving. Cameron finished his own race and came right back to help me continue mine. Lynden, Robert, John, Becca, Kaleb, and so many others poured into me when I needed it most.

The further I went, the more I realized that none of us accomplish anything meaningful alone.

Throughout the entire race, my prayer never changed:

“I can’t. God can. Please help.”

Every time I needed strength, encouragement, wisdom, or perspective, God provided it through the people around me.

89.1 miles.
27,540 feet of climbing.
Over $20,000 raised for 314 Community.

I’m grateful for every mile, every lesson, every conversation, every volunteer, every donor, every text message, every prayer, and every person who stepped into this journey with me.

We continue to learn from our experiences, do our best, and let God take care of the rest.

And I have a feeling...

ONE WEEK.

In 7 days, I’ll step onto the line at the Mid State Mile.

The format is simple:

Complete a 1.1-mile loop with 340 feet of elevation gain every 20 minutes.

Then do it again.

And again.

And again.

Until only one runner remains.

But this race isn’t just about endurance.

It’s about purpose.

This year, I’m partnering with 314 Community through a campaign called Endure With Purpose.

314 is helping students break cycles, discover their God-given purpose, and create a new path for themselves, their families, and future generations.

Our message is simple:

“We aren’t going to stop while they’re just getting started.”

As I take on one more loop, we’re helping students take one more step in their own journey.

Our goal is to raise $25,000. The first $10,000 donated will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact for students and families served by 314 Community.
