This is something that I just feel so compelled to talk about. And that is on the idea of confidence. All my life I have fought the battle of confidence. Trying to figure out what/who to find it in… Is it in the God? Is it in other human beings? Or is it in the gifts I have? Do I fear rejection? And in having that fear do I idolize the need to feel loved and accepted? Facing this has been a very difficult thing for me to overcome. But what is so amazing is this:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Even though I face trials, and go through confusing times GOD IS ALWAYS PRESENT! Things may not always make sense to me in a moment or for a long time, but when I choose to have confidence and faith in the Lord I will never have to fear rejection or the loss of acceptance. Humanity will forever fail me, that I am sure of because we are all imperfect. BUT… GOD WILL NEVER FAIL! He is perfect in every way, and I am able to go out every single day with the confidence that there is someone who will pick me up when I fall, and that there is somebody who will leave the 99 to find the 1.

Yes, I will struggle, and yes I will fall. But the beautiful thing about God is he will pick you up when you fall, time and time again because he loves you.

“But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head” Psalm 3:3
