It’s taken me a while to start writing this, but first I would like to thank my family, friends, teammates, coaches and our fans for making the last four years so fun. I wish I could’ve done things differently and I wish it could’ve ended differently, but that’s just how it is. I took pride in wearing the C on my helmet on Wednesday and Friday nights. I loved and truly enjoyed putting on that uniform for the past 4 years. I’m sad that it has to end, but I know I will be successful in whatever I do after high school. I still have a few months left to make memories and cherish high school while I still have it. It won’t last forever. The memories will last forever and I will not take it for granted. I wish I could’ve done more to prove myself on the field, but I hope that I’ve influenced the guys coming up in the locker room and I hope I’ve set a good example for them. I take pride in being a leader instead of a follower and doing things the right way. I don’t want this to be the end of my football career, but only time will tell what happens. I’ll miss those bus rides home on away games or the drive home after a big win. I’m very lucky to say that we made the playoffs 3/4 years as many people can’t say that. Thank you to the ones who have come along on the way to help make it amazing. Thank you for everything Covington. Go Lions!
